This has to be the dumbest thing I've ever read. They wanted a fun wink and nudge addition of Captain Rex retroactively being in Return of the Jedi by saying that a similarly bearded old guy in a rebel suit in the background sort of bore a resemblance to Rex...but because that actor was white then Disney is White Washing Star Wars. It's a little bit of harmless fan service, not actually making it out that the clones were white.

If Disney isn't ruining Star Wars by white-washing It they are ruining it by having two consecutive movies with female leads. I can't believe some of the fan outrage I've seen in the last few years.

It took me longer to finish it than I wanted, but I really liked Christie Golden's Battlefront II: Inferno Squad. Nice to see a cameo by a returning character from Clone Wars. And although it brought up more questions than it answered, I figure once we get to the end of the sequel trilogy, we'll start to get some of those answers.

I hadn't realized that season 4 of Star Wars Rebels will be its last until I read that article. Hopefully I can find the episodes from season 3 that I missed On Demand.

I'm glad they aren't going to pad it out longer than it needs to be.
With its proximity to A New Hope, and now Rogue One, it was likely always finite anyways and based on the Celebration trailer, we get a nice bridge to The Ghost and at least some of the characters arriving on Yavin 4 for their Rogue One cameo.

Target dropped this Force Friday II trailer. I'm sure the trolls will arrive in full force if enough people watch it.

I love how it further ties into Rogue One.
One thing I can't help asking myself though is that why hasn't Disney let these guys do a feature film yet?

Colin Trevorrow is out as director of Episode IX. Lucasfilm seems to be running out of directors fast.

Colin Trevorrow is out as director of Episode IX. Lucasfilm seems to be running out of directors fast. Reports are emerging that JJ Abrams will return to write and direct Episode IX now. I've seen several places report on it, but I don't know what the original source is and how credible it is. -M

I guess I'm in the minority, but these new Star Wars movies just feel like a massive exercise in fan service, no matter the director.
I thought that The Force Awakens went a little overboard, but then Rogue One came along and took it to embarrassing new levels.
The animated stuff like Rebels smacks the piss out of the new feature films.

I loved Rogue One, but I thought The Force Awakens was pretty disappointing. Better than the prequels, admittedly, but disappointing all the same. I'm not overly happy to hear that JJ Abrams is coming back to direct Episode IX, since I attribute a lot of TFA's problems to his shallow, uninspired, "dumb it down" writing, producing and directing style.
