I really hate the Impossible Man... just too powerful to make sense. The only story of his I like is when he (or maybe his son) has a shape shifting duel with Warlock in a New Mutants annual Chris Claremont seemed to really like Impy, as he used him there, an X-Men annual, Excalibur and Spider-Woman.

He certainly is goofy looking, isn't he? Ha. But like I said, there is something a little frightening about his appearance. Porcupine strikes me as a visual that would have made a great "monster of the month" alien on the original Star Trek series. The redesigned his look years later, but nothing beats the original: Agreed. He may have sometimes looked like a walking haystack, but something about his bulk and that expressionless faceplate make him intimidating.

Fantastic Four #19
The FF are soon attacked by Egyptian warriors, but Reed notices that there is something strange about their armor. The FF make quick work of the soldiers, but are suddenly stricken down by some unseen force that robs them of their powers and their will to resist. They are taken to the palace of the pharaoh, Rama-Tut, who was responsible for defeating them with some sort of high-tech ray gun. Rama-Tut then reveals that he is actually from the year 3000, and having found his ancestors (none other than Dr. Doom) abandoned time-travel device is some ancestral ruins, repaired it and traveled back through time in a time-machine shaped like an idol, thus explaining the origins of the Sphinx. The ancestor is strongly implied to be Doom, but was later revealed to be Nathaniel Richards.(FF #273)

I started doing something very similar to this in 2017. I started with the August 1961 books which included the FF #1. I also read other books from that month that caught my interest. Initially, I just read them, but I didn't review them. Around the 1964 books is when I started writing reviews and posting them in my Marvel Facebook group. I will be sharing those here soon.
