My deepest condolences,Cody. It's been a few years since I lost my mother, but it still stings. Take joy in your memories and the accomplishments that she had a hand in making.

I wasn't the biggest fan but the guy could belt out a pop/rock song. His work was ubiquitous on MTV during high school and college and with bar-band covers, again during college. You pretty much couldn't go to a bar in Boise from 86-90 and not hear someone covering one of Money's songs.

So sorry to read of your loss, Cody, but what a beautiful legacy she leaves behind. I will be a lucky man if, when my time comes, I am survived by a child who celebrates me the way you celebrate your mother.

RIP Daniel Johnston, "outsider" artist and "lo-fi" singer-songwriter. His work seemed to emerge from a collective pop culture id. He wore his love of classic monster movies and comic books on his sleeve.

Cokie Roberts ... I heard her speak in Baltimore once and she is full of wisdom and insights and I find her informed and straight to the point. I wished that I heard her more.
