Haven't seen it yet but am a big fan of the series.
Mixed feelings here, though Seth Rogan is a plus in my book.

Haven't seen more than a minute of it, but I just read on CBR that they're renewing it after just 5 episodes and expanding the next season to 17.
Apparently it's AMC's # 2 show in ratings.

Just watched the first part of the season 2 premiere last night. For those who missed it they are replaying it tonight on AMC as well as airing another new episode.

Watched the first episode of season 2 last night. What a great opening sequence! Am going to try to watch episode 2 this week.

My dad was telling me a few weeks ago about this crazy series he was watching called Preacher.
I let him go on for awhile and then told him, "That was based on a comic. I have the complete series."
Of course he won't read it. He's extremely stubborn, but likes the series.

My dad was telling me a few weeks ago about this crazy series he was watching called Preacher. I let him go on for awhile and then told him, "That was based on a comic. I have the complete series." Of course he won't read it. He's extremely stubborn, but likes the series. So far, I'm actually more of a fan of the show than the comic (and I'm a big Ennis fan). Also...Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy are all more likable in the show than the comic if you ask me. About halfway through the comics, I actually found myself rooting for Herr Starr/Saint of Killers. It seems like a ton of people consider this Ennis' definitive run...and I couldn't disagree more. It's good, but can't hold a candle to Punisher MAX, his war comics or Hitman. |

Ennis was born to write the Punisher.
Really loved his Preacher too, but not quite as much.
He also wrote some great war comics, Battlefields and War Stories.

Watching season 2. Weirdly enjoying it, despite not being a huge fan of the comic.
I've been watching the Marvel netflix shows which are sooo sloooooowwww and deliberate so it's nice to have something that's a little more gonzo and comic book-y.
