One of the things I really dislike about a lot of modern computer colouring in comics is how it makes characters look overly shiny and metallic, as if their skin and clothes are made of chrome. |

Weirdly enough, it's not. Dick Briefer had been doing a comedic Frankenstein strip in which the creature was a lovable, wouldn't harm a fly benign being. When the horror craze took off however, he was asked to change the tenor of the series. He then created a Monster that was vicious, terrifying, and not hesitant to kill and break people in half. So, same creator/same artist, but completely different strips. These covers are about as close as the two series ever got. |
