I get chills when hear the Bing Crosby / David Bowie Little drummer Boy duet. If I *have* to listen to Little Drummer Boy, theirs is the most tolerable version, but boy, do I hate that song.
Cei-U! I summon the ho-ho-horror!

I get chills when hear the Bing Crosby / David Bowie Little drummer Boy duet. That's my wife's favorite Christmas song (but in general she likes both performers but dislikes Christmas music in general, so I think it's more about them than the song). -M

I really hate Christmas music. I'll listen to Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas album a couple of times and that's more than enough for me for the year.
There. I said it.

I'm pretty much the same way, but then I'll give Guaraldi a couple of spins throughout the year as well as at Christmas time. -M

Sleigh Ride by The Ventures for me, but Bing Crosby could sing the telephone directory and I'd listen.

In sixth grade I was the best drummer in the school band, so I got to play the solo in "Little Drummer Boy" with the glee club singing.

Aside from "Over the Rainbow", I hate each and every musical number in The Wizard of Oz. The rest of the movie's excellent, but those songs suck.
There, I said it.

In sixth grade I was the best drummer in the school band, so I got to play the solo in "Little Drummer Boy" with the glee club singing. I was lead tenor of my junior high glee club and had to sing the second verse of Little Drummer Boy solo in concert. It was at that exact moment that my voice decided to change, eliciting a huge laugh from the audience. And THAT'S why I hate that fucking song with every fiber of my being.

I really like most of those songs... and the witch’s guards’ marching hymn is awesome! Can’t please everyone alla the time, it seems.

I get chills when hear the Bing Crosby / David Bowie Little drummer Boy duet. I always wonder what Crosby was thinking at the time - "Who is this freak?" or "Weird haircut, but pretty good voice," or "I hate Christmas songs ...oh well, at least it isn't that g*dd*m**d 'White Christmas' again" ...

They never went into the studio to record that song. You can hear that it was lifted off the TV special. Just a great song and a version never duplicated.

the witch’s guards’ marching hymn is awesome! That's incidental music, though. And I agree.
