A heartfelt thanks to all who participated in this year's competition. There were, of course, many many qualified candidates and only thirteen awards to go around. The true fun of this competition is in hearing the nice things members have to say about one another. Regardless of whether you won, lost, or weren't even in the competition, you are honored.
The awards are in 900 x 200 pixel dimensions. In other words, they are the perfect size to be used as a banner image, if you so choose.
THE WINNERS:

"He started the Cerebus reading thread, Yusagi Yojimbo, Best Non 2 publishers and The Superhero Movies that left an impression among others." -- Icctrombone

"this thread never fails to open my eyes to comics or characters that are new to me; artists I'm unfamiliar with; unfamiliar works by artists I'm familiar with; and some just plain gorgeous art (IMO, anyway!). I stopped reading comics for a period of 30+ years, so the contest choices also give me a snapshot of what people were reading at the time, what was popular (or not), etc. And I love to read other members' revelations about their choices and their reactions to other covers too. All in all a very illuminating, enlightening contest." -- Farrar

"His dry sarcasm always makes me smirk." -- thwhtguardian

"I would like to nominate the 50 Years Ago This Month thread and its siblings the 40 years ago, 30 years ago, etc. for Best Group Thread. My main interest is in the 50 Years thread, but I also read the commentary posted in the 40, 30, 20 and 10 Years. A great cross-section of CCFers participate in the Years threads and it is always interesting to see what people were actually buying and reading at the time and/or have since picked up and or how tastes have changed. " -- Farrar

"I'd like to nominate Hoosier's 'New Comics, Old Fans' thread, which has been really interesting for a good long while." -- Wildfire2099

"Is it just me, or is Icctrombone everyone's best friend around here? He gets along with absolutely everyone, treats everyone with the utmost respect, and last year, when I was having a rough time, the dude even got my address and sent me a care package. I can't think of a nicer person." -- shaxper

"I might be a basic human being, but I'll nominate the Meanwhile... thread. I like just reading about what everyone is thinking or doing without an agenda." -- Crimebuster

"It is simply amazing the time, effort and talent involved in creating this sci-fi comic book epic. We get just a glimpse in the thread here, but man o'man..." -- mrp

"...who needs no explanation" -- wildfire2099

"I enjoy his ideas and perspectives, even though they often run directly contrary to my own. He's a great debater, extremely informed, and quite personable and funny to boot. I've greatly appreciated his contributions here." -- shaxper

"I've fallen waaay behind on keeping up with it but I love both his insight and the over all format of his reviews." -- thwhtguardian

"It's one of my favorite threads-it's always interesting to see what people are buying, to discover new books I didn't know about, the cheer for people as they acquire their holy grails or cheer along as they work towards completing long collected runs, marvel at the deals people get and get to hunt comics vicariously through their acquisitions. It's full of comics joy, which is refreshing when there is so much negativity in this hobby at times (not here so much, but on the interwebs as a whole where comics are concerned). " -- mrp

"with all he contributes to so many threads, discussions and ideas." -- hondobrode
A heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners, nominees, and participants. Thanks, EVERYONE, for a second amazing year at the CCF. Here's to the third!
