Soon bor soon. An uneven spot between my parents' sidewalk and the patio had me twisting my ankle. In bed now with it elevated and a cold compress on it. Still have my Hurry-cane from my last back surgery to help get around. Oh no, drats and I hope your ankle gets better real soon ... I do that about once or twice a year and it's annoys me greatly!

A real pain. I felt so stupid as I was falling down. It was only a difference of about an inch and a half, but I stepped right on the border of both.
Oy !

Big day for me tomorrow: I'm getting married to my beautiful fiancée Victoria at 1pm. It's been a bit stressy this week, with lots of little jobs still needing to be done, but it's all sorted now. I'm just putting the finishing touches to my speech. I'm really looking forward to it and, of course, the party afterwards. Congrats man. Hope your day was a great and memorable one. -M

I want to go mountain biking today, but I'm too stiff and sore from trail maintenance yesterday.

I talked myself into it, and I'm glad I did. Helped loosen the legs up a bit. Just a lazy 13 km.
Sight lines on the trail my son and I cleared yesterday are much better. I can see the obstacles coming, now I just need to learn to ride them.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes for our Wedding. My wife and I (that still sounds weird) had a wonderful time and were both absolutely overjoyed to be getting married. Your messages on here were so lovely to read. I'm currently waiting around to board our plane for our honeymoon trip to Florence, Italy, and I've brought some high quality reading matter for the flight...

Good to see you back on the boards mrp
Thanks for the well wishes with the ankle too.
I'm at my parents for the summer while I work this side of the state before moving to Des Moines.
They're both retired so it's good to be around them while I can.
With this twisted ankle Mom has been helping how she can.
They both have walkers from previous surgeries, so I use one on the main floor for meals and bathroom and keep another upstairs where I sleep, read and am on the computer.
Getting up and down the stairs I either slide down on my butt or climb up. Feels ridiculous, but it keeps the pressure off that ankle...

LOL
Oh it's pitiful and hell getting older. I remember twisting my ankle as a kid and being back on my feet in days.
The same thing happened to my mom as a kid. She was 14, barely, and detassled corn the next day !

Glad they added Party Of Five on Netflix. Now I can re-live the ups and downs of Char, Bay, Jule, Claud, and little Owen. Total nineties nostalgia.

Can actually put some pressure on the right foot now though it's still tender.
Took the compression bandage off to shower and it's somewhat swollen with some nasty black and blue and purple, though staying off of it as much as possible has helped tremendously, along with elevation and ice.
As badly as it hurt I'm amazed I can get around after a couple of days with it. I was afraid it might be longer.
