Couple people who were contributing to the sci fi thread that I hadn't realized weren't here(or if they are they have new user names): Dark Knight Detective (he was a mod, so he might be gone) Inferno mrc1214 I mentioned Inferno awhile back; evidently, he ruffled some feathers in CBR's Community forum (which I avoided like the plague, so it was news to me), & I'm not sure if he's been the target of any outreach. Chris (mrc1214) joined the FB group where I learned about this place, so I'm hoping he'll show up here as well. |

I think yesterday was my cut-off for checking in at CBR. It's just too depressing, even though I know I can come right back here and find you guys again.

If you basically spent your time in the Classic Comics sub-forum, there's not so much to be depressed about. A lot of work ahead to bring the old content here, some people will be lost on the road, many posts will be lost forever to the Internet. Ok, a little bit depressing. |

I think yesterday was my cut-off for checking in at CBR. It's just too depressing, even though I know I can come right back here and find you guys again. Truly. Basically, it looks like they're created a carbon copy of the Collected Editions Dicussion Forums, which, y'know, is already out there & has been for years. ' |

I'm not sure a mod couldn't join here. Jonah has never once acknowledged our exodus nor this board's existence, so I really don't know where we stand with CBR. From my end, I see the split as an amicable one. I regret what Jonah did to the board, but I also respect the half-hearted attempt to reinstate our community after much protesting. They tried...kind of.
So I'm not bitter, and I hope they're not bitter towards us. If Jonah didn't want a classic comics sub-community, then we haven't done them any harm by walking away.
Anyway, back on topic...

Hey, I just noticed I haven't seen Jonathan Bogart recently! Has he registered here under another name? He disappeared for quite a while. Then came back for a short time and left again. He had pretty well lost interest in comics and was working on a roots music blog. I followed that for a bit then lost the link in a computer death. Found it. aceterrier.com/ |
