Without re-litigating anything I want to apologize to all here for a recent childish outburst, no excuses. Someone rubbing me the wrong way or accidentally pushing a button I have they can't know of is no reason for going haywire and getting personal. I have a number things to deal with that will take awhile.
No strings to this, I can only hope you are bigger than I was in accepting to any degree that I'm sorry I have caused stress. I recognize it is I who has made some serious mistakes.
Best wishes.

I don't know what happened Ms Becca, but I can say from someone that did the same thing; the people of this forum are the best people online. I'd be surprised if anyone even remembered my incident, because it truly is forgive and forget here. Take your time and always know you have people to talk to here if you need an ear to bend. Take care of yourself first and foremost.

Welcome back.
Relax.
Sit a spell.
Take your shoes off.
Y'all come back now, y'hear.

Glad to see you are still around. The Internet is a tricky medium for communication. In this environment, everything exists as text and image. It is hard to always communicate in text, as a perfectly rational sentence from one point of view may carry an entirely different subtext, from another's. Emojis hardly convey true emotion and often read like hollow caveats to harsh words.. I've had instances where I had to sit back and tell myself to read the words and respond to the text, not to a perceived intent. I've had a couple of people who have pushed buttons, based on differences in perception and just had to step away.
In person, I can have an extremely dry sense of humor (a byproduct of many British comedies and writers), depending on the circumstances, and people have really thought I was serious when I said a few things; to where they were even afraid to talk to me. I really had to learn to communicate when I was joking (more often having to explain the context of the joke, by explaining the obscure reference or tv series or novel from which I stole it). I also have to blow off steam quickly when something really sets me off, ranting and raving for a few minutes, before I can move on. It is literally like a quick release valve and then I am perfectly fine. Working in retail, I have dealt with customers who have pressed those buttons heavily and I have to go somewhere private and just explode, before I can deal with a new customer, who is oblivious to things. Also, as a manager, I get to deal with the real crazies, after someone else has reached an impasse. More than once I have had to have a mantra in my head, "Don't kill them, offer a solution! Don't kill them, offer a solution! Don't kill them; it's too hard to hide the body!" I mean, it's really hard to keep your cool, on September 11, 2001, explaining to a customer who is complaining that we haven't got a new book display up yet, while the world was going to hell. I took a very deep breath and just answered, "Sir, have you paid attention to the news in the last few hours? I think there are more important things going on at the moment than a display of books from a USA Today ad. I'll be glad to help you find a particular book; but, today is not an ordinary day." That and having to explain the First Amendment to the US Constitution to everyone who got offended by some book title, cover, or author.
It's all good here; past is past and comics are cool. Enjoy the fun stuff.

Welcome back, Becca. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Becca is the one that introduced me to this forum (we became acquainted on another forum). So I'm grateful to her for leading me here.
As Slam said, take your shoes off, relax and all will be well!
