Oh, yeah. I had discovered my first comic book shop just as Pacific launched, so I was there on the ground floor for Capt. Victory, Starslayer, Groo, Ms. Mystic, etc. My first indie comics. It's too bad that comics line folded after only a few years; they put out some really good stuff.

Yes. I didn't know at the time that they were colorizing and reprinting lots of Warren stuff. I knew about the Warren line, barely, but didn't have any. Demon Dreams, Captain Victory, Starslayer, Silver Star; I was excited for them.

I'm pretty sure I still have the promo poster for Alien Worlds 1/Twisted Tales 1... it might have slight fade from when it was actually used back then (a comic shop used to give away 'old' promo posters as bonuses and door prizes). I also have some other Pacific items like a Rocketeer Postcard set (No.2 I think) with the shelf-runner thing advertising it, another less than mint mini-poster like the one mentioned above for a Flamingo reprint comic... I can't remember what else (I think there is a Fantagraphics poster for Dalgoda anyway, Jack Of Hearts mini series). Anybody want this stuff? I would've gotten it all free so no clue about value. PM if interested, postage from Canada might not be too bad as it would be pretty thin and flat.
I bought the first three Captain Victory and Starslayer issues, other than portfolios I think those were the first Pacific items... and a b&w Rog 2000 reprint. So impressive to see color comics of any kind from a new publisher then, and what back-up story artists! Neal Adams (Capt. V #3) and Dave Stevens (Starslayer #2 & 3).

My brother had the promo poster for Groo and got it laminated.

For some reason, outside of the Rocketeer the Pacific line didn't grab my attention as much as the others from the era. I did pick up their reprint of Jim Starlin's Darklon though.

I think Twisted Tales was the only one of their books I picked up regularly, along with the appearances of Rocketeer. (Actually, in my collection, I have the two issues of Starslayer he appeared in filed w/ the back covers by Stevens facing front.)

Enjoyed Pacific comics while it lasted. Followed Starslayer, Elric, Rocketeer, Twisted Tales, Alien Worlds, Captain Victory, Silver Star and Groo fresh off the spinner racks. If only they had lasted longer

Pacific Comics (other images edited out for brevity)
I was a big fan of both Pacific and Eclipse Comics back in the day. Wish they were still around.
Hey, at least we still have Dark Horse...

I absolutely love that today it is so easy to purchase comic books from other countries! For us classic geezers it was nearly impossible to find affordable, let alone "complete" stories or collections of international comic books before the 80's. There were always discussions and articles or books about such things, but boy were they elusive! I spent most of my teen years with limited access to foreign comics thanks to the newest invention in town: the LCS, where if you were lucky you might find some foreign goodness (mostly the then "hot" British and Japanese stuff) or even ordering select books that an American publisher chose to print. But even then there were some limitations and at times the adaption to English was poor. Today is a glorious time for exploring comics outside of the USA boundaries in that you can find variety and affordability. My library is filling up with collections which have me drooling and happy like a dog over a steak he just stole!!!

I ran across a 'new to me' character in a 1997 Quicksilver, a bear woman warrior of the Knights Of Wundagore: Lady Ursula. I don't remember her being in the '70s Iron Man with the Wundagorians. I can live vicariously through her kicking ass and cracking wise! These characters as a group are a lot of fun, but I am going to hate it when any die (as one already has by #2). I love the Knights Of Wundagore (and their atomic flying mounts)!

I love that I just found I still had two of the British Super-Heroes Monthly magazines that reprinted classic stories in b&w, and that one of them has a Kubert Hawkman in it! This was a great series. I still have two or three issues of it which I bought back in the day.
