back in circulation. Once again, congrats to @mrp for finding the final piece and to MWGallaher for designing this great puzzle. I can't imagine the amount of time it must have taken to do this, no matter how much it scratched his natural-born engineer's itch. My only selfish, insensitive question is "When's the next one?" Thanks, mw! PS: Maybe you're done with this kind of puzzle, but you could also create one like this, but with numbers instead of letters... Just an example...

This was the original cover to the hardcover edition of Mike Richardson's book, Between the Panels... There was an answer key inside. Those were a bit easier to make out related lettering.

Is it bad I can recognize the title source for about 40-50% of those used on that cover without having to look at any comics...? -M

Yeah, well; it was trying to sell a book. It got a new cover for its next edition. Good book, though. Some interesting stuff in there. Gil Kane sure didn't seem to care for Julie Schwartz, based on some quotes. Debunked the Mike Grell .45 cal Contract Negotiations story (Grell has also debunked that, on Youtube).

Took just a few minutes for all but the H,O, and U to click for me. O, R, and W were the ones throwing me.
I remember a lot of interesting stuff in this book, but it's been a while since I read it. It included an exhaustive account of the process of creating Little Annie Fanny, from (IIRC) when Bill Stout was the primary assistant.

I think I got most of the ones I've filled in, but of the missing ones, "N" and "R in particular, are killing me. "G" looks too recent for me. Thought it might be Frank Thorne's "Ghita," but I don't think so. I'm guessing the "H" is for "Horror," but doesn't ring a bell. No clue on "U" or "Y."

I don't think so; only the Ms in their logo had rivets on them:
I initially thought it was from Planet Comics, but when I went to check I saw that it was different:

Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the 'R' is from the 1940s Captain America: And the 'U' is from Famous Funnies:
