Do you know how much it cost? I don't think he ended up buying it (don't know the reason) I know he did buy an X-Men 1, AF 15, Spidey 1 and most of the first 20 issues of ASM as well, plus one of the Brave & the Bold JLA issues from the guy, but not the Action 1, so I don;t know id the person who brought it was not selling, just showing off, or whether they couldn't come to a workable price. I won't se Dan until the end of the month when I go to the Jim & Dan show on Feb 25, and I might be able to get more insight into it, or not, as I won't pry into someone's business dealings with a customer I don't know unless they broach the subject. I get a lot of behind the curtain glimpses and info, but I am not privy to everything that goes down, nor do I want to be. -M That's a good policy, but if it comes up in conversation, I'd be interested to know. Not that I'll ever be in a position to buy a coverless (or covered) Action Comics #1. Those other purchases are, needless to say, totally awesome!

My LCS (sent them an email yesterday) has a Copy of Brave and the Bold #63 and they have two copies available and I bought one of them for $32.50 on store credit and it will be mailed on Wednesday. I'm going to read it once and after that its goes to my safety deposit box at my bank. It's a book that has an unofficial rating of 7.0 FN/VF Fine/Very Fine and I don't know that I've overpaid it or not. I used my Senior Citizen's discount on it. I just wanted a copy of it.

I got a bunch of stuff recently. Since that big box of beat up stuff last weekend, I've picked up this stuff as well: These were all 50 cents each from a local shop: This was a no brainer purchase off ebay - $8.50 for this whole lot, and that includes shipping: Finally, I sold a piece of original art I no longer had room for. In addition to $100 cash, he sent me these books in trade. Highlights are some nice 50's books, including Pep #129, Girls' Romances #17, Patsy Walker #55, And Action #258, as well as Superboy #82 and Jimmy Olsen #48. The latter two are pedigree copies from the Twin Cities collection; the Superboy is actually low grade because of a tear repaired with tape, but the JO is around a 7.5, with the first appearance of the Superman Revenge Squad:

They are so much cooler unopened. There are tens of thousands of these comics around that are opened, but very few still in the packs. They're staying there for as long as I own them!

I had a nice ebay pick up... for $15 (9.99+shipping) I got some nice early 80s Action comics... with a couple earlier ones tossed in... I was very excited:
The actual haul: ACTION COMICS #333 436 439 515 516 517 518 519 520 527 529 531 532 533 542 548 553 556 557 583
...with 2 copies of several of them. The #333 was actually in quite good shape and probably worth the $15 all by itself.
