I make it a policy never to answer work e-mail between 4pm Friday and 7:30 am Monday. Much happier that way. I so wish I could have this policy. But if I did, I'd get a flood in my inbox of emails from people "HELLO!!!! I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU GOT MY LAST EMAIL. I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM YOU" every 20 minutes. Then I'd get the, "I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS SUPER BUSY THERE OR WHAT, BUT YOU HAVE NOT ANSWERED MY EMAIL. THIS IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I JUST WANT A PHOTO OF MY COLLAR." This is why I work out everyday. It helps me avoid the rage. Yikes. It's great that you do something for a living that you love and that allows you to be creative, but is it really worth it when you have to deal with garbage like that? Couldn't you maybe send a blanket e-mail stating that "Starting December 1st, the shop will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays" and then have an auto e-mail reply stating "Thanks for e-mailing us! Our shop is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm. We will be sure to answer your e-mail as quickly as possible during those times"?

I have toyed with the idea. I try to be more accommodating, though, during the holiday season. And there are weekends where I do not answer emails, but right now, I'm dealing with the holiday rush of things, so I'm mainly just venting here. And it really seems no matter what, when you run your own business, you are going to run into people who are just completely clueless when it comes to the inner-workings of businesses. I do promise, though, that the good ones totally make up for the more irrational, demanding ones. The irrational demanding ones are few and far between, usually, but they stick out like sore thumbs because, well, because they are so sore.

Contemplating whether to get out of bed or not.

Trying not to let people get to me this early on a Saturday morning. I really should not work on the weekends. I mean, I should just not even answer emails because: GRRRRRR. I make it a policy never to answer work e-mail between 4pm Friday and 7:30 am Monday. Much happier that way. I have a policy that I don't open regular mail until the following morning. I don't want to sleep on possible bad news.

Contemplating whether to get out of bed or not. I'll take the points and say you WILL get out of bed.

My younger sis is about to tie the knot.
Naturally, we have to go shopping for lingerie.
Neither myself nor my sis ever thought we'd become wives...go figure, you men eff with our brains.

I won't link my site here because I don't wish to for a few reasons. I try to make this place and comics my escape from work, but I screw up occasionally by venting about work-related things. I really shouldn't have ranted because it's quite unprofessional of me.

You have to rant SOMEWHERE. I don't think that's unprofessional at all. It's not like you're going off about a specific customer. Would a customer of yours somehow find this site and figure out who you are, I still don't think you've said anything scandalous

I am trying to figure out where to go for dinner and am trying to finish a story for a friend.
Also, avoiding homework. I don't want it. :/

Just got done working, and honestly, did not have the best of days today. And I'm not quite sure what to think of it.
