This is a perfect time to discover this forum…..because it was exactly 40 years ago this month that I started reading comics. I was 7 years old and I remember where I GOT that comic and what it was: Marvel Team-Up 38 with Spider-man and The Beast against the Griffin. That same month, I got Spider-Man 149 with the Spider-man clone created by the Jackal and The Champions #1. I still remember how wonderful all the books looked and SMELLED there on the rack at that little convenience store. And I remember how magical it felt when, each week, I’d go there and NEW BOOKS that I hadn’t seen yet replaced the ones I had. What a great time.

Was wondering if we could brainstorm and come up with a list of all Marvel or DC titles that spent a good part of their existence (say 6 months or more) primarily reprinting old issues of other comics....

Hey guys, glad to be "HOME" again. I was posting on and off on CBR for some time....then one day, tried to post there and saw that some version of SECRET WARS had happened over there......That is, the original had been totally destroyed and then someone, Dr. Doom presumably, re-created it in his image....and image that just wasn't the same. Then I saw a mention in someone's post about the "pocket universe" here where the old Classic World had been recreated.
My name there is as it is here: RichardWrite, because that's the name of my freelance writing business. I was the creator of the old "SUPERHERO TOYS" thread over there, which I'll probably recreate here.....
