It's still a work in progress, but you can see a fairly decent list of Stan's non-Usagi covers here: usagiyojimbo.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Non-Usagi_coversAt the top of that page is upcoming covers, in case you want to get an order in or keep an eye out for them when they drop.

TENGU WAR! hardcover is available now, exclusively at Stan's online shop. www.stansakai.com The Sakai's published this themselves since IDW was not publishing as a hardcover. I hope you don't mind that I fixed your link. Wow, the Sakais publishing the book themselves is MASSIVELY significant! Maybe this will this pave the way to new Saga Editions as well... I wouldn't expect any more Saga hardcovers, as those were always intended to be limited and got the planned production runs fulfilled, so there is no need for Stan to produce them himself. The situation with IDW is different, where IDW decided to not publish hardcovers at all, a break from over 30 years of tradition. Since there are people that have collected the hardcovers since the beginning, Stan wanted to make sure those people could continue their collections and worked out a deal with IDW where he could produce his own run of hardcovers himself to sell through his own site.

There was a forum software update that broke things again and the volunteer that fixed it last time hasn't had a chance to get in there and see what went wrong this time, though he said he'll look into it when he can.

In regards to this issue, the recently released preview shows the inside cover which lists a couple variants: a virgin cover for Dogu, and a blank Stan Sakai sketch cover. I'm guessing these are releasing to coincide with SDCC.

David and I will do another podcast the first Saturday in July, just in time for the first issue of The Dragon Bellow Conspiracy with his covers and his Mouse Guard one-shot. July or June? David has been saying June 5th is the tentative date.

So many options! It's a pretty great time to be a fan!
I've been collecting the Saga hardcovers, so will finish up my collection with #9 in a few months. I've also collected all the softcover trades and will continue to do so. I did get the Bunraku hardcover, but probably won't continue with the IDW trade hardcovers. If the IDW trades get collected into a larger HC omnibus, then I'll pick up those when they come out. Same goes for the color reprints: I'll get the softcover trades and then if they do larger HC collections in the future, will pick those up as well.

In addition to the reprint there are two other features, the first was a brief black and white summary of Usagi's adventures up until now(which I believe is new)
I thought it looked vaguely familiar but couldn't quite figure out why. But today I finally stumbled on where I had seen it before. This 4-page black and white sequence is in the front of the Usagi Yojimbo Saga vol. 1.

The FCBD issue of Usagi is really good. If you enjoy the one page Funhouse short in the first Color Classics issue, then you're really going to like the FCBD story. I can't wait for you all to get to read it and I'm looking forward to seeing it in color.

Good review. I really liked the coloring and look forward to reading more issues. I do have to point out that the colorist of the current issues (and past covers and occasional color story) is Tom *Luth*, not Bluth.

Stan has said there will be a Chibi Usagi book coming out by his wife Julie. I believe it launches in May next year. I'm not sure if it's a mini series, one shot, or ongoing series. I think the Hellboy universe has shown how a creator owned property can support various ongoing books, with Hellboy, BPRD, Lobster Johnson, Witchfinder, Abe Sapien and a couple shorter series (Sledgehammer 44 and Frankenstein Underground) all being well regarded runs, even when under the care of different writers and artists. Mike has said that while he sort of oversees everything, he's not always super involved in the day to day managing of the various titles. The problem is that in that capacity, he hasn't had the time to write and draw a monthly comic for a while, which worked out for him since he wanted to take a break from drawing full issues anyway. Since Stan is so involved with his own book, I'm not sure the Hellboy formula would work as well since Stan doesn't have the time to oversee various spinoffs, though I suppose Chibi Usagi is the exception since he shares a house and workspace with that artist, so sees her every day. That said, I know they've considered doing something along the lines of the Mouse Guard Legends of the Guard series where selected guest artists and writers contributed to one-off short stories.

The game hanatsuki looked like a bit like speedminton (essentially badminton without a net) with cricket bats. I was curious about it, but googling "hanatsuki" brought up...something unrelated. I did a Bing search for "hanatsuki" and my top result was a Wikipedia entry for "hanetsuki" (with an "e" instead of the second "a"): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HanetsukiThe entry is very short, but I think this is what you were looking for.
