The first issue of Force Works was published 30 years ago today: Did anyone read it? I couldn’t get into it. There was something superfluous (possibly the wrong word) about it, and I just didn’t see much point, nor did I gravitate toward it. I think I read just the first two issues. The art alone would have been a major turn-off, as well as that Klingon rip-off ship in the background.

Paging Roy Thomas... Linda Carter must be related to Sharon and Peggy, right? Maybe even the granddaughter of the original Linda Carter, Student Nurse? And might Marvel's version of a certain Warlord of Mars also be her ancestor? This is the Marvel Microverse, after all. You need to write for the MCU; that franchise is always trying to tie improbably linked characters and/or ideas together.

Make that four! And those bound volumes look amazing. Make that five. I think. You see, I’ve only seen the film, not the TV series, nor the book. Make that six (if my earlier post was not an indicator of my love for that series).
