The other upside to all of this is that each issue will probably carry the TRUE legacy numbering on it as well. No more needing to explain how it's issue #163, but actually issue #215. Stan did mention it. The inside cover will feature both #163 (with DH) and #215 (overall)

I'll post it in other communities, if you don't mind.

Just read issue #164. Frankly, I'm concerned about how much Nii's honesty and capability have been praised in those two last issues.
I hope he does not to turn out to be the Master because he is one of my favourite characters.

I think they began back at the "Hatamoto's Daughter", didn't they?

I really like Kazehime. I actually disagree with Julie Sakai's opinion (as stated in one of Stan's replies to a letter) - Usagi's already got too many love interests. But it would be nice for him to have a mole inside the Komori, like he could have with Chizu in the Neko ninjas.

I wonder if there was any historical inspiration for Inazuma, specifically people who were supremely skilled with a sword despite little to no training. Has anyone heard of anything like this? Not really, no. But I would bet there is some fictional precedent, esp. in Japanese cinema.

So, do you guys think the "Bridge of Tears" arc begins here, or does it come before/after?

Did anyone read this? I found it a very nice story, and hints at Lord Hikiji's return to the fold, but Stan decided to leave this for now and focus a bit more on Usagi and Ishida.

Re-reading it, I noticed a small error: on page 2, Kitsuné pulls off her right sleeve but then cuts her left arm in the following panel!

Ishida is a great character who has enriched Usagi stories.
And am I the only one who wants an Inspector Nii plushie?

Usagi's injury in the fight was brutal. I found myself closing my eyes and gritting my teeth. True. That made me flinch.

The story itself is a neat little one and done with a fun combination of action and political intrigue but the cover has me scratching my head a little as it's cool design has absolutely nothing to do with the story. even moreso the fact that it appears to be a human on that cover. Stan does have to do the covers way in advance of the actual story, so I wonder if there was some intriguing aborted story in play here. or maybe it was just something cool Stan drew during downtime at a convention that he didn't want to see go to waste. it IS exceptionally striking. Could that human be Lord Hikiji?
