Game of Thrones season 7 episode 7 "The Dragon and the Wolf" Ser Bronn and Jaimee Lannister's conversation at the opening had me laughing. I liked seeing the Unsullied and the Dothraki side by side like that they make for one hell of an army. A couple of reunions this episode; The Hound and Brienne, Tyrion and Gendry, as well as Ser Gregor and The Hound. One of the things I found interesting about the big meeting scene was being reminded about how far most of these characters have come. The Tyrion and Cersei conversation scene was very good and arguably the two best character actors left in the series. The Theon Greyjoy and Jon Snow scene was also quite good. Seems a bit late for Theon to find his courage though. (I almost wrote "grow a pair" but his lack thereof actually came in handy during his fight scene.) At first I thought it was weird that Sansa seemed to be so easily manipulated by Littlefinger but it was brilliant when she flipped it on him especially Arya finishing him off. Kind of great seeing Jaimee walk out on Cersei like that and Winter came to Westeros as he rode off. The army of white walkers marching on the wall and the Night King flying on the back of an ice dragon was an epic visual. The wall coming down like that is one of the scariest things this show has done. Gendry? I guess you mean Podrick. As for reunions, the one you mention first, amended something I felt missing, once Tyrion made his contribution. What a great duo, these two made.

That'd be an easy solution, but it looks like they want to make a point about staying away from the masks. Only DD has one, because of his secret identity, and even he, didn't use it in season 1. I didn't have a problem with Daredevil's look in Season 1 of his show. They were going for Miller's "Man without Fear" origin where he wore the black ninja-esque homemade outfit. I actually loved that. Agreed, unfortunately, DD is a brand name, unlike the others, so he couldn't keep that cool outfit.

All they really had to do was give him his mask from the comics so they could get a competent stunt double/martial artist to perform the fighting scenes and the show would've been MUCH better off. That'd be an easy solution, but it looks like they want to make a point about staying away from the masks. Only DD has one, because of his secret identity, and even he, didn't use it in season 1.

That happens to me with virtually every episode, they're always densely plotted, fast paced, not to mention the degree of sophistication in many of the dialogues... which don't usually take place in slow motion either.
I'm guessing there'll be plenty of time to watch them all again before S4, if it ever happens.

I'm ready for this Dougie nonsense to end and for Coop to get back to being Coop. Cooper was all about smiling, with the amount of surgery he's undergone over the years, do you see the one's we've glimpsed so far, as being photogenic?

Game of Thrones season 7 episode 6 "Beyond the Wall" I thought the penultimate episode of this season was pretty epic. {Spoiler}Sansa and Arya arguing because of Littlefinger's conniving made for some tense moments. The Hound and Tormund's conversation had me laughing. Fighting a zombie bear with flaming swords definitely made for a cool visual. Jon Snow's group surrounded by an army of white walkers was intense and things were looking bleak until Daenerys and her dragons showed up. I was not expecting the Night King to kill one of them though that was kind of sad. Even more unexpected was Jon Snow falling under the ice, pulling himself out and being rescued by Benjen Stark. I wonder if a white walker dragon breaths ice? Too predictable, if anything, more people came back than I expected. And I say "people". Now the question is, do we spit fire or ice?

I caught the season 5 premiere of Ray Donovan this weekend. For those who haven't watched it I find it comparable in quality to The Sopranos. I think it's a great collection of character actors with lots of memorable performances. The new season starts out with some significant and unexpected changes in the status-quo. I'm looking forward to binging the rest of the season when I get the chance. Is John Voight still around? I hated that character.

The very first episodes were a little, "ok, another cartoon with ugly drawings and a character with an attitude", then along came Meeseeks and Destroy and it could no longer be ignored as the unique gem that it is.

Yeah, that's another one in the pipeline. So many of them, currently watching the strain, twin peaks, preacher, rick and forty, game of thrones, manhunt unabomber, the sinner, big little lies, halt and catch fire...

Are you talking about these or the Omnibus? The latter usually have nice colours. but I haven't checked this one in particular. Are they flat, or four color? MW style flat colouring, really doesn't work for me on the material they reprint. Yeah thats the ones. I am not sure with colors. I can take some tomorrow if you want to but if you google them you can see how they look to. I looked up a few videos of the first two, and colours are different from video to video, maybe it's the old vs new printing, or most probably the camera. I guess I'll need to hold them in my hands, before committing.
