Are you seriously calling Lando, 'a supremely moral person'? Anyone prioritizing the lives of the innocent citizens he was entrusted to protect over two who just rolled up at his doorstep--and brought the Empire with them--is supremely moral. Whatever bugs you about Lando is another matter, but anyone would make the same, moral decision he did. The citizens were his obligation, not people coming out of the woodwork of the past, which is what Solo and Chewbacca were to him. Nothing bugs me about Lando - he's one of my favourite characters. Because he is a scoundrel. You know Han calls him a scoundrel, right? He's a smuggler, a conman and he cheats at cards. I'm completely bemused that you think Lando is supposed to be supremely moral. I don't understand how you can watch the films and draw that conclusion. Not all heroes have to be shining knights, you know. The most interesting ones aren't.

There's nothing more moral than a leader placing the welfare of the people he serves (who were threatened by the empire) over the needs of a couple of people he had not set eyes on in who knows how long. Past reputation had no bearing on his position as a leader.

That choice was also the best one for him personally, and definitely fits with his past reputation. I definitely never have thought he was a bad guy for selling out.... dumb, maybe, (since by then it should be pretty common knowledge the Empire never keeps it's 'deals'), but never bad or evil.
I think it's clear that IF Vader had kept his agreement and left Cloud City alone after getting Han, Lando wouldn't have given the Rebellion another thought.
That's actually an interesting 'what if' scenario... would Han still have been saved without Lando? Would the Death Star still have been Destroyed?

Glad to see I was wrong... there ARE a few more good issues. It appears there was either a lack of focus, or perhaps just an unwillingness to commit to a post RotJ plot, as while there is lip service paid to the main characters doing 'diplomatic missions' as an excuse to have them going out and having adventures. There are a couple artist fill ins, and a couple writer fill ins, some good stuff though.
#81: 'Jawas of Doom': I thought this a really good Han spotlight... first blush, you could say they've already dealt Han dealing with transitioning from Rogue to Hero, but that's not all that's going on... there's almost a PTSD vibe. Leia tags along with Han back to tatooine, where he's hoping to retrieve some of the cash he had put away to pay Jabba. I agree with Dbutler's comment that it seems like the Han-Leia relationship is off... the end of the movie seemed like they were a solid couple, not so awkward that Han has to make the excuse that she's a good co pilot (When she's never flown the Falcon before) We get to see post-Empire Tatooine, which is really interesting, and a Boba Fett swan song (which, of course, doesn't still. Very good story, with good (if cartoony) art. I especially like Leia's outfit... kinda half smuggler and half princess. I agree 100% with Confessor that the cover is AMAZING, and Marvel clearly agrees, as it also serves as the cover of the volume.
I have to disagree with your assumption that this issue takes places 'the next day' after the battle of Endor. In fact, it feels like this is a bit later to me... as evidenced by the fact that Han says Chewie wants to stay behind to 'finish learning about Ewok hunting techniques' As if the former Rebels are sticking around for a while (this gets more vague later)
#82 'Diplomacy' - Luke starts his diplomacy trip (with Plif in tow... but not R2), and goes back to Iskalon first, only to have them confirm that want nothing to do with the outside world. Duffy uses the trip to assemble what I suspect she would like to be the 'new' cast... Kiro turns up, as to Ric, Dani and chihdo (No explanation how Dani hooked back up with them... or how Chihdo got unfrozen). Super contrived and really the only interesting part is Plif's running commentary... though Luke gets a good action scene. This was my least favorite of the group, which is unfortunate, since it seems like it's the one that is going to 'count'.
#83 'Sweetheart Contract' - Lando's tue, but this one is clearly a fill in, (with Linda Grant and Bob Mcleod as writer and Artist) and could have taken place at any time.. Lando does have an off hand comment that he needed an excuse to leave Arbra, but that only places in recently, not necessarily before or after the movie. Other references to the Empire were general enough that they don't HAVE to mean the Death Star, IMO. It's a pretty good Lando solo story, though a bit contrived and predictable.
#84 'Seoul Searching' - Another fill in with Han and Chewie acting like their pre-movie selves, but with a casual mention of 'I fought in the war' the only time placement... and to be honest, it feels more like he's referencing the Clone Wars than the movies. It's funny, there's a female archeologist who's full of snarkiness here.. funny that such a character hit it so big later. Decent story, but I've never been a fan of the 'ancient superweapon gets destroyed' trope. Not as fun and exciting as the Lando story, but better art (I don't like Mcleod's Star Wars much)
#85 'The Hero' - Jo Duffy is back to give us what Han, Lando and Chewie are ACTUALLY doing after the fill ins (though also after Han gets back from Tatooine presumably, so some more time has passed). Apparently the Alliance has decided to say on Endor for a while. Han and Lando are trying to teach Sabacc to the Ewoks when Wedge comes by (still not drawn right) and tells the they have to report RIGHT NOW to get their next assignment. They grab a pile of planets to visit.. picking on that goes toward Kashyykk (though they don't name it) so Chewie can visit home. They plan that go to happens to house Lando's arch nemesis Drebble, and just about every other character Lando ran into under Jo Duffy's pen, and hilarity ensues. THe gags were great, and this was a fun change of pace, but ultimately still felt like nothing was going on with the plot... more like tying up lose ends. That cover though... why do Han and Lando look like Hobbits?
#86 'Alderaan Factor' It's a shame this story got relegated to fill in and just tossed in here.... best of this bunch for sure. Great characterization of Leia, and the stormtrooper was a great character... too bad he didn't live to sign up.. THATS the sort of character Marvel needed more of to be able to move beyond the movies... not Ric the Han clone and Red Nymphomaniacs. One thing I though was really weird... what did Leia shout 'Luke!' when the Falcon arrived. I know He gave her the transmitter, but why would she assume Luke was in Han's ship, when he much more often was in his X-Wing? Sure, this is before RoTJ, so Han is still frozen, so it makes sense she wasn't expecting him, but Luke? That just kinda stuck out. That's a nitpick though. great story.
2 more to go!

I realise this isn't "classic" Marvel Star Wars related, but did anyone else watch the second episode of The Book of Boba Fett and notice what seems to be the screen debut of a character from the modern Marvel Star Wars titles? When Boba confronts the Hutt twins, their bodyguard is none other than the Wookie gladiator Black Krrsantan! I love it when franchises pull little fan pleasing stunts like this.

Yeah, I was pretty excited about that... and Tosche station too! Nice calls outs both

I've not watched any of the show yet, but I have to say that I don't generally like it when filmmakers drop in little fan service Easter Eggs. For one thing, I think they're just a cheap, cheesy way of shooting a knowing wink to uber nerds that does absolutely nothing to serve the story, but a far more damaging aspect of them is that they make a fictional universe seem smaller. If every character or event starts to tie in with multiple others -- and Star Wars has been guilty of doing this since the Prequel trilogy at least! -- then instead of opening up a whole galaxy of possibilities with each new film of TV episode you're inadvertently making the fictional world shrink in scope.
I know a lot of fans love this kind of stuff, but for me it just induces eye-rolling.

I hear you, but in THIS case it makes total sense. Black Krrsatan was in the employ of Jabba for a while, between working on and off with Doctor Aphra. Now that they've done what they do with all popular characters of questionable morals and mostly made her a good guy, it makes total sense he would go back to the Hutts, and why not work for Jabba's cousins? Also, if it means we get live action Doctor Aphra, I'm all good. Now, back to important things, when do we get the 'Stars Wars at Dark Horse (1987 - 2010): Reviews by Confessor' started?

Man, that would be a review thread and a half -- there are hundreds of Dark Horse SW comics! Anyway, you still have all those Cynthia Martin-drawn issues at the end of the Marvel run to wade through (lucky you!).

I do, but that'll be some time far in the future when Marvel releases a final Epic volume... I don't think I'm willing to try to track down the floppies.

He's a major part of episode three, and since Boba makes a point of releasing him at the end of the episode, I suspect we haven't seen the last of him.

Agree...the Easter Eggs are the stuff like having a Hoojib in the background.. Fett going to Toche Station, whatever the pretend fruit is called at then end that they were alwats chasing in Rebels ... that sort of thing (not sure exactly what Confessor meant, but that's what I Was thinking of when he said it)

Wait...there's a Hoojib in the background?! The creature that the Hutt twins wipe their sweat with... IMO, the ears aren't right, but the internet says that was meant to be a Hoojib.
