Cyclops is the biggest di€k of them all. That's a recent developement. I think Namor might be the #1 on that list. At least Namors got the power to pack the di€kish behavior. Cyclops without his visor is a cherry bomb in a John.

Namor should get some credit for being a d*ck in the All Winners Squad, the Invaders, the Avengers, the Defenders, and the X-men. And probably a few I'm forgetting.

Cap's "Kooky Quartet" Avengers had 2 d*cks, Quicksilver and Hawkeye. They both get excused for their youth and brashness. Later on, not so much. Although I never though of hawkeye as a Di*k, Just a wiseguy.

Is #8 supposed to be Castle Amber-X2, the one based on the Averoigne stories of Clark Ashton Smith-which if it is, I own/have played the entire list, if not, and it's Castle Ember, I don't think I ever heard of it. -M Interesting - I always assumed D&D was just a sort of generic fantasy-world influenced in a broad manner by popular writers like Tolkien and REH, but I had no idea that some of it was based directly on the work of specific authors.

Interesting - I always assumed D&D was just a sort of generic fantasy-world influenced in a broad manner by popular writers like Tolkien and REH, but I had no idea that some of it was based directly on the work of specific authors. Most of it is pretty generic, but there have been officially licensed supplements for Lankhmar, unlicensed material based on Melnibone and the Elric mythos, unlicensed stuff based on Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos and Dream Cycle, some official Conan stuff, and such. The module Castle Amber (or Chateau D'Amberville) has the characters transported to a realm largely inspired by Averoigne and a family named Amber (a nod to both Clark Ashton Smith and Roger Zelazny). Some of the unlicensed stuff they got away with, some they didn't and it got expungged from later printings of books (the Deities and Demi-gods book is the biggest example of that). Of course there are separate games based on Conan, Elric and Solomon Kane done by other publishers as well. This is one of my favorite supplements... which provides maps of the city, its environs and the world of Newhon as a whole, plus lots of info about the city. There was also an early version Sanctuary from Thieves World done by a third party publisher compatible with D&D... of course Green Ronin an rpg publisher, did an entire game based on Thieves World a few years back, plus one based on A Sword of Fire and Ice series by George R.R. Martin. Mongoose, a British rpg publisher did the most recent Conan game... with tons and tons of supplements detailling every land of the Hyborian Age and some boxed sets of cities. -M
