Maybe the artwork was reversed. Well, then the "S" would be backwards. This also kills my theory that we the readers are seeing the scene reflected in a mirror, lest we also find ourselves turned to stone.  |

The way the current drawing is, it would have to be placed squarely on her left boob for people to see the Shield. I guess instead of redrawing it they went with this option.

NOBODY in editorial caught that the shield is on the wrong side of her chest??? (and it's even correct just above on the left next to the DC bullet) Oh, I'll bet it was caught...being on the correct side. I can see editorial in those days saying "You can't see the whole S! Put it over there!" "But, but, that's not..." "Just do it!" |
