LOL! OK, after seeing Icctrombone's last cover, I couldn't resist posting these gems.

I have the big-head Flash signed by Julie Schwartz. I was at a Wizard Con, and had just come out of his panel and saw him at a table back in Artist's Alley. There was NO ONE anywhere around him (and this was before the sexual harassment stuff came out, so I doubt he was being socially shunned). I had nothing from him to sign (I wasn't even aware he was going to be there), so I quick dug around in some quarter boxes and came up with a beat up issue of that classic. I stood and shot the shit with Julie for 15-20 minutes and NO ONE even approached him, or seemed to notice him at all. Damned kids! Also he did confirm that it was a "cover first" issue.

Look what I just came across: produced a half dozen years or so before that Flash comic--and also under the auspices of Schwartz.

Glad you posted that great Justice League cover here, Mecha! I always get a kick out of those DC covers where musical instruments of all things are used against superheroes, such as on your JLA cover and on this Lois Lane cover: IMO nobody did expressions better than Kurt Schaffenberger. Lois looks so maniacal here!

Women had it tough in the 50's; even the supernatural experiences and strange phenomena were sexist.

Women in the 50's had class. They dressed up in heels and dresses to do laundry.

I notice none of the underwear attacked. I guess they were too delicate.

Worse than them putting Michael Jackson's hair on Steve Rogers' head?
