So I got back from a trip to my LCS to pick up my pull list haul for the week. Apparently Superman #38, which is the issue debuting the new suit as well as Superman's newest power, is the latest book to have attracted the attention of speculators. My LCS was all sold out -- and this is a store that is fairly large and is usually well-stocked on A-list titles like Superman. I was actually pretty annoyed at this turn of events. I have been reading the Johns/Romita run, but it wasn't on my pull list. Now I can't even get a copy of the issue when all I want to do is read the story. Freaking speculators... You could always get a digital copy of the issue from Comixology.

You could always get a digital copy of the issue from Comixology. That's true, but I don't typically purchase digital issues unless it's one of their 99 cent sales. I understand the logic behind pricing digital the same as print, but as a consumer I still don't agree with it. Then there's the fact that I bought the rest of the run in single issues, so I'd like to be able to have a complete set -- at least for this story arc. Hopefully they will do a second printing and I'll be able to get a copy of that. The guy at the LCS said apparently Diamond got cleaned out of the first printing.

That's one of the weirder speculator stories I've ever heard.
