That's what we're talking about. One of the first Atomic Bomb covers in comics - this issue hit stands in October, 1945.

foxley and I are on the same wavelength... Here's an example where she's almost out of the ropes (and her costume): Definitely on the same wavelength! I considered this cover but decided to go with one where she was more securely bound, to play up the 'bondage' angle.

I debated myself as to whether this one would count or not. And then I realized I really don't care if I win or not, so I'm going with it. The fun is in participation.

Coincidentally, Neal Adams was on Comic Book Men this week talking about that cover-it's one of his least favorite pieces he has ever done and he cringes every time he sees it. He hates the anatomy of the left leg because the editor made him redraw it so it went outside the lettering and it bends unnaturally to do so. -M PS He also said he was working on a New Gods project for DC and was looking for Kirby New Gods comics as references while he was at the Stash...be interesting to see what that turns out to be

Otherwise all comics would just be traced photos.

Also coincidentally Adams was on Fatman with Kevin Smith arguing for the practice of lightboxing photos (i.e. tracing) to make better comic art and that those who argue against it are to full of themselves to truly improve as artists.

Not saying I agree with him or that he should be criticizing anyone for being full of themselves, but it was synchronicity that icc through out a tracing comment in response to Adam's funky anatomy on that cover when Adams had been on a tirade about tracing that I listened to part of just after I posted that initial comment when I was trying to find a clip of him on CBM talking about the Supes cover (which I never found). -M

Is that where the giant penny comes from? Nope. . the giant penny has nothing to do with Two-Face (he uses a Silver Dollar). the penny is from "the Penny Plunderer" (no, really). . . who was a Bill Finger villain, and, as a result, loved the giant props. the penny is from a story in Worlds Finest #30: here's the panels in question: and it was re-printed many years later in a story about the Batcave and how the giant penny got there:

I've seen that episode so maybe my memories are permanently jumbled because of it.
