Is it a phobia if a duck really is watching you? Isn't that at least part of the point of the gag? It's a riff on the old adage of, "just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean that they're not out to get you." I think the above Far Side cartoon works on a few levels. |

The idea of the "paranoid" quote was what I was going for. Like most Far Side cartoons, it can work more ways than one. |
