I had a pair of Time Travellers (the translucent guys, with the silver heads) which came with a pair of vehicles i was given for Christmas. I desperately wanted the battle cruiser, but gut a Battlestar Galactica Viper Launcher instead... Never had any of the individual figures and don't recall seeing them in many places, then. The vehicles and such seemed to be carried more by stores in my area.

I had Space Glider, Pharoid, Giant Acroyear, Baron Karza/Andromeda, maybe Time Traveler and a couple vehicles I can't remember the names of offhand.
Edit: Remembered I had Acroyear II and the Thorium Orbiter vehicle.

As a kid I had:
Biotron Microtron Time Traveller x 2 (different colors) Acroyear x 2 Space Glider Pharoid Baron Karza Hydrocoter Hydra
I have none of those now as I had to get rid of them one of the many times we moved and my parents forced me to shed most of my toys each time.
Since 2014 I have been slowly rebuilding a Micronauts toy collection.
So far I have:
The SDCC Exclusive 3 pack with Pharoid, Orbital Defender & Galactic Warrior (and a cardboard replica of the Astro Station) Force Commander Andromeda Biotron Microtron Hornetroid Aquatron an incomplete Star Searcher 2 (beater) Time Travellers (of different colors) 1 missing his feet, one missing an arm

Writer - Bill Mantlo Layouts - Val Mayerik Finished Art - Danny Bulanadi Letterer - Rosen Colors - Sharen Editor - Tom Defalco Cover Art - Layton Farewell Pat Broderick - you were wonderful on the 'Nauts. We have various fill in artists until #40 and Gil Kane takes over. Argon going full Karza, rebels get back to rebelling, and the Micronauts run off with the 3 keys. We get a microverse history lesson, a Dr Strange team up and some demons. The Micros save the day but Argon is still being a jerk so the Micronauts have to hightail it outta there. I have to say after all the build up the ending to this story is kinda meh. I think they added a handful of other Micronauts toys to pad this issue out with pointless fight scenes.

My first issue of this series was the one with Nick Fury wrestling a Hydra goon. I had no idea what was going on, but the Darth Vader guy with the Assyrian chainmail hair looked cool. Mainly I just liked watching Acroyear and Bug be awesome.

Tend to agree, that the finale wasn't quite as good as the quest. Poor Argon never really got to be a character. he's captured at the start, tortured, grafted to his horse, liberated, pushed into being Force Commander by rebels, isn't very effective in the role (Rann saves the day, from Karza), gets mind controlled by Karze, gets freed, falls under his spell again, gets killed. The series needed Karza; but, killing him and bringing him back constantly just devalued him. Pat Broderick is missed here. Not sure why they thought the Microverse needed an origin. As it is, it's more the origin for the races of Homeworld, and not much else.

Writer - Bill Mantlo Pencils - Keith Giffen Inks - Danny Bulanadi Letterer - Simek Colors - Sharen Editor - Tom Defalco Cover Art - Layton I'm a fan of 70s/early 80s Giffen art, but man does Bulanadis ink dominate. I don't really see any Giffen here. Micronauts escape back to earth and big people. They battle Argons Death Squad of other Micronaut toys in a school the whole issue. That's it. I do enjoy the Bob Layton cover art

Writer - Bill Mantlo Pencils - Keith Giffen (pages 1-13) / Greg LaRocque (pages 14-21) Inks - Danny Bulanadi Letterer - Novak Colors - Sharen Editor - Tom Defalco Cover Art - LaRocque / Milgom Huntarr, a new Micronaut, is introduced this issue. Genetically engineered to be a weapon by Argon in the reactivated Body Banks, Huntarr is a goopy lumpy dude who can change his shape at will and do all sorts of blowing up of stuff. It makes for an entertaining issue. Sure, it's another mostly fight issue but there's a few moments of enjoyable characterization between our heroes to make things work for me. The art looks better this issue too. And I don't mind the unnecessary guest appearance.

Terraphant Centaurus Kronos Lobros If you had those 4, you were extremely lucky as they were never released in the US, only in Canada after the line was discontinued in the States and only the limited stock that had been made before production was halted when the line got canned. -M I bought them from a local private store owner here in Phoenix who specialized in collectibles during the early 80's. He spent a lot of time traveling all over to conventions in the USA and Canada and Mexico in search of all the toy goodies he might find. His shop was part storage unit, part store and most of his stuff sat on his shelves for a looong while collecting dust due to his outrageous pricing. Eventually you would get deals as he would mark down things which were not selling. Micronauts was one of those. Me and a friend were likely the only people in Arizona who knew of them and buying the darn things after the fact.

Story #1 - Writer - Bill Mantlo Pencils - John Garcia Inks - Danny Bulanadi Letterer - Novak Colors - Sharen Editor - Al Milgrom Cover Art - Michael Golden Story #2 - Writer - Mantlo Art - Gil Kane Starting with issue #38 Micronauts (along with Moon Knight & KaZar) becomes a direct sales comic only, no more news stand sales. When this was announced I was buying the comic, excited about the prospects and was looking forward to the change. This issue was a major disappointment. We get the return of Golden on the cover but the main story is a flashback hodgepodge. In the letters column in an issue during the Chaykin era (don't remember which one) it's mentioned that John Garcia was working on an issue, so the main story is a inventory story of modest entertainment value. The 2nd story is another flashback showing how Bug & Acroyer met. Drawn & inked by the legend Gil Kane, this at least looks better. In a future letter column it's mentioned that Giffen was expected to become the new regular artist but due to unexplained reasons that didn't happen, so I assume the lack of a regular artist threw things off.

Same here, but wasn’t this whole “sword in the star” thing due to Bill connecting the Micronauts to another one of his stories? I think it was seen in Marvel Preview or some similar mag. Can’t remember if I have the issue, though. Unnecessary continuity, but I guess a writer is free to play with his toys if he feels like it. At least Bill didn’t make Karza a relative of Wolverine.
