Not surprised by Rich Buckler's swiping accusation. As I mentioned on another thread, he was well known for those practices swiping whole scenes periodically. This was on top of changing his style from Kirby to Adams style depending on the flavor of the day (But to be fair-some of the style cloning could have been directed by management) AFAIK, Buckler has always maintained that he was not directed by management, that he made stylistic decisions based on the story and characters. Some material called for a Kirbyesque look, and other material called for an Adams style, in Rich's estimation.

Some material called for a Kirbyesque look, and other material called for an Adams style, in Rich's estimation. He did seem to use his Kirby style for the FF and his Adams or Buscema style on the Avengers, which made sense for each series, whether that was his own decision or an editorial directive.
