Now that we have the calendar function enabled, I see that stinker mrp neglected to mention that July 14th was HIS birthday, in addition to all the persons he listed below. Let's wish that stinker a very happy belated birthday!  Happy Birthday today to Tom Carvel, founder of he company who makes these....  To Woodie Guthrie to William Hanna of Hanna Barbara... Thanks for the belated wishes. I generally avoid mentioning it's my birthday, not because I don't enjoy them or anything, but I've always felt pimping your birthday to get attention was a bit, I don't know...let's just say not my style, but if others like doing it, cool for them. I did however, give a clue (the post watcher quoted), a nod to an old college tradition of mine from when I was an undergrad- July 14 is also the birthday of then Red Sox pitcher John Dopson, so my buddies and I would go out and celebrate "John Dopson's Birthday" on the 14th. -M John Dopson! Balked 4 times in one game! |

Every year on my birthday, I usually do what Thomas Magnum does on July 4th and go out by myself. Unlike Magnum, I don't go out on a surf ski and paddle around (although I did one year). I just don't go around making it big deal... just another day in my life, just like everyone elses But for you..... |

That's counting backward from when my next-door neighbor found Allie, whose eyes weren't yet open & who presumably was about a week old, in her backyard. |
