I was just reading The Making of Star Wars, and the bonus content in the enhanced edition has a series of profiles that Lucas apparently told in 1975 to an interviewer (Carole Titelman), and some of it is rather interesting. It is background information on several characters and situations, which never made it into the movies. One particularly interesting thing is that Lucas mentions midi-chlorians in the body's cells as being the source of one's knowledge to the Force. That is interesting food for thought for those that hated the introduction of midi-chlorians in The Phantom Menace. Also mentioned is that C3-Po is actually 112 years old, and while serving on one particularly hostile planet, his body basically broke down. He was "totally reassembled by a young boy who worked for a junk dealer". I always hated that Annakin "made" Threepio, and had always suspected that he'd actually simply rebuilt him from existing parts rather than making him from scratch, and it looks like Lucas's old description matches that idea perfectly. I still don't like the idea that Annakin/Vader "built" Threepio, as it ties everybody in the Saga together too closely and makes the Star Wars Universe smaller for no good reason, but at least this is an improvement on the idea that a 9 year old boy, however smart, built something as sophisticated as Threepio from scratch.
Edit: Oh, and it also confirmed what I had read in Bantha Tracks - that the reason Chewie didn't get a medal in Star Wars is because wookiees don't care about medals. It goes on to say that, afterwards, his friends went with him back to his home planet for a celebration. Oh, and he also mentions that there are female stormtroopers, though not many.

I've finally watched The Mandalorian, and liked it a great deal indeed.
It didn't feel like the original trilogy, rather resembling the Sergio Leone westerns that clearly inspired a lot of it, but that is not a fault; while fitting perfectly in the Star Wars universe, it was its own thing.
It was also a much more satisfactory follow-up to the OT than The Force Awakens and its sequels were. It gives the impression that things have moved forward, and there's a certain feeling of optimism about the whole thing despite the ongoing threat of the empire. The characters are sympathetic and are given a chance to grow to a greater extent than their sequel counterparts. There are lots of them, too!
The ending was satisfying in many ways, and I was overjoyed to be spared a last-second devastating stunt by Mof Gideon. A major bad guy who is efficiently neutralized and delivered to the proper authorities? Are they even allowed to do that in stories nowadays?
Anyway, that was a few hours well-spent, and while it would be fine to end the series there, it has enough hints of things to come to last several more seasons without feeling rehashed.
Just bring back Cara Dunne, please, Disney.

This is quite the lovely surprise for which I am really excited about and can't wait to see. Best part, Disney is releasing both the English dubbed versions and the original Japanese/subtitled versions. Heck, I'll probably watch both.

I'm a big fan of anime and Star Wars so it's the best of both worlds. And look Confessor Jaxxon's "little sister" is a jedi!

I think Rogue One is my favorite SW film now. My favorite era, the real beginning of the true Rebellion against the Empire, all the characters have enough weight to them that their deaths at the end are dramatic and impactful. Have yet to tire of re-watching it even after multiple viewings.

Wow...I've only been able to watch the first episode so far but man...that was stunning. If you ever wondered what Star Wars would look like if Akira Kurosawa had directed Star Wars then the Duel is probably as close as we're going to get.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo of Guns Akimbo fame has been cast as Sabine in the upcoming Ahsoka series, which is great and a little sad as I had actually fan cast her as Doctor Aphra!

I've never heard of her, but see seems like a good physical match for the part.. mostly I'm excited Sabine will be in the show!

Guns Akimbo is a great film she was in, and she was also in the Crouching Tiger sequel on Netflix as well.

Just saw the first episode of Boba Fett and I have to say it was pretty solid. I loved the Conan feel to it coupled with the spaghetti western style.
And Boba fought a Green Martian!
