Almost posted this one myself. And I was seconds away from posting that Green Giant cover when it popped up in your post, Hal. Great minds, eh? I won't disagree. I recalled the Green Giant from a great book of Golden Age covers from -- well, more than a few years ago.

This may be cheating: the Green Glob was mentioned on a few covers, but never shown on one. I know. I was looking for one of those myself! The Green Glob did get one cover appearance: on an issue of the Angel and the Ape mini-series by Phil Foglio (still a viable entry if someone wants to post it).
