The original Quantum and Woody. Any more than two shakes, and you're officially playing with it.
(New series is a lot of fun, too.)

Thanks for bringing this up, BBB. I wasn't reading comics when this came out, so I missed it entirely. It's often mentioned as one of the best Spider-Man stories, so I keep meaning to check it out, but I always get distracted by other things. I'm going to go right over to the local library's Website and see if Kraven's Last Hunt is available.
For the record, my favorite Kraven story is The Amazing Spider-Man #34. Kraven's great. And I think he's a better character for not being used over and over again. Did they ever bring him back after Last Hunt?
Kraven came back in "Grim Hunt."

I'm finding that Carl Bark's comics are wonderful for this very purpose. Fantagraphics can't print his stuff fast enough for me.

Any comic in the "funnybook" world works wonders to cheer me up when down. Includes any Archie, Disney, Warner Brothers, Scooby Doo, Hanna Barbera, Underdog and the like.
If just feeling a touch of the blahs then silver age goofiness fits the bill. Gimme some Metamorpho, Doom Patrol, Brave and Bold, World's Finest
When feeling the truly dark depression's then I dig into classic reading from my teens and hang with good old friends who i grew up with: Avengers, JLA, Legion of Super-Heroes, Fantastic Four and X-Men, Mister Miracle, Werewolf by Night, Tomb of Dracula, Deathlok, Ironfist and Powerman and Ironfist and Master of Kung Fu. Relive those halcyon days of the 70's and feel better instantly with the old style groovin'...

Yep, good old Unca Ben and Impy are often ideal for pick-me-up hijinks. Here's two more: Marvel 2-in-1 #51: and Marvel 2-in-1 #60 This one has pretty much the entire DC Universe participating in a real feel-good story: And this one had me LOL-ing quite a bit: And finally, there's so much of Joann Sfar's stuff I could mention, but I'll just highlight these two gems:
