Remember Hero Illustrated (which I believe was better than Wizard)? One issue covered this, and I couldn’t believe such a movie had been made.
I will state this: at least they got Doctor Doom right. I also prefer the look of The Thing in this film.

Funny how this cheap b-film from '94' that was never meant to be seen has better and more authentic looking characters than the big Hollywood blockbusters of the last 20 yrs.

Indeed. While I don’t mind some changes, I believe there is so much mileage in “evil ruler of Latveria that has diplomatic immunity”, that a film (or films) could do so much with the idea. Instead, we got a CEO villain (how many times has that been done?) and young, angry computer scientist. Those kinds of villains can be found in any film, why not stick to the comicbook Doom?

Right on. I second that motion counselor. To have this little country where Dr. Doom is a crazed dictator and master of magic. I don't know why that's so hard to do? Love to finally see it onscreen. Mabie in a Doctor Strange movie first to set him up. Just a thought? Although at one point in my life I'd love too see him belt out "Aaaaaaaaaarrrghh! Sppiider-maaaann!" Hahaaaaa! But I'm sure woke Marvel Studio's with muck it up somehow. No doubts there.
