Loved seeing this thread bumped with Savage Sword 189's cover staring at me. This was the first Conan comic I bought, right when I got back into comics as an adult. My timing, at least for Conan, was impeccable. I didn't yet know to follow certain writers and artists (how different from each other can funny-book worker bees be from each other, right?). For some reason though, while getting the current issues of Savage Sword and Saga, I limited my back issues to just Saga (maybe the local shops just happened to have more of these), so all the Conan I was gobbling up just happened to be nearly all Roy.
