Oh. Apparently he left DC. That's kind of a shame - I liked quite a bit of his stuff there. (Not Green Arrow so much, but I never like Green Arrow no matter who is writing it.) So he's working for Marvel and doing his own stuff now?

So he's working for Marvel and doing his own stuff now? He's doing X-Men and Hawkeye for Marvel, some stuff for Valiant and some creator owned stuff somewhere (maybe Vertigo, Image or Oni?) I don't think he's doing any mainstream DC stuff, I know he left JLU and Green Arrow. I'd love to see him do more stuff like Trillium. He's a guy whose creator-owned stuff I really dig, but most of his mainstream Big 2 stuff I find meh. -M

Hmm. The Essex County books did nothing for me but I really liked Underwater Wielder. What else did he do? I liked his Animal Man A LOT, but drifted away when Travel Foreman quit as artist. His Green Arrow seemed like a really typical post-Anatomy Lesson I AM A NEW WRITER AND I AM REBOOTING THE BOOK AND KILLING OFF THE SUPPORTING CAST type story hitting the exact same beats that every new writer who thinks he's important hits... with very nice art.

Trillium is still my favorite thing by Lemire that I read (I haven't read Essex County or Underwater Wielder yet, but have sampled some of Sweet Tooth). I was meh on his JL Dark and Animal Man (I felt he was forced to play in Snyder's shadow from Swamp Thing on his Animal Man run rather than doing his own thing and had to play in tune with what Johns was setting up for in the Trinity War and such rather than charting his own course on both the JL books), but I actually liked his Green Arrow (what had come before on the new52 Green Arrow had been so bad it needed to be blown up) but I felt it got derailed by the DC Villains month event and stumbled and I lost interest. His JL United run was pure meh for the first 6 issues after which I stopped checking it out. I would have liked to have seen what he could do if given his own free reign on a DC book rather than constantly have to shoehorn what he was doing into a box created by editorial or a "lead" writer on a given corner of the DCU.

Anyone else reading Spider-Woman This book is fantastic, the current creators replace the ever popular Grag Land with issue 5, and thats where it goes all Superior Foes/Daredevil/Hawkeye. Quirky as all hell, cooler than we'll ever be, Jess with a new costume, on a roadtrip, fightin crime, kicking ass, how many commas can one man use...

I am in the 6 month Marvel Unlimited timewarp for new stuff, but I might check it out when the stuff goes up. -M

I think its Javier Rodriguez, hope thats right.
She leaves the Avengers to go back to the streets, and the whole vibe is similar to Waids Daredevil or even Superior Foes, tongue in cheek. Roadtrip with Ben Urich and Porcupine...

I don't think Rodriguez worked on it (though maybe as colourist?).

Man, I am getting forgetful as new comics are tending to blur together for me. -M

I used to read Ms Marvel but the Art isn't all that good. Wait, what? The art by Adrian Alphona manages to combine qualities of the styles of Sergio Aragones, Will Eisner and classic European comic books. It's packed with details, does an excellent job of telling a story visually and almost every character has an instantly recognizable face. It's the definition of great comic book art. That's just a fact.

I know what you're thinking here - but I've find it difficult to digest it and most importantly I find it a bit odd to me to use this format of presentation and I know that many members here find it to be great art; but to me it's hard to see the characters in that panel alone and to me it's not my cup of tea. Her art is great for some people but to me it's not. Sorry, about downplaying her art in some degree but I have a hard time fathoming it and therefore I don't read it anymore. That's how I see it. I totally respect your views of her art and having said that you must understand mine.

It's a bit like saying "Toni Morrison is not a good writer because her books aren't easy to read."

The Marvel books I really enjoyed reading the most since 2010 would probably be :
1/ Fury Max 2/ Incognito: Bad Influences 3/ Winter Soldier (Brubaker) 4/ Deadpool Max 5/ Frankencastle
And maybe also Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine.
