This is 7-10-15
Start date: 5-27-15 My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs Today's weigh in: 207 (+1 from yesterday, -11 overall)
Review of the day: Too much salt is the only explanation for why I went up a pound. I did have fried food which is stretching my plan.

Not to be perverse, but have any of you ever come across these calories eating challenges on YouTube? I'm highly incredulous about most of them. One shows a guy, supposedly, eating 30,000 calories over a 24 hour period! He weighs himself at 167 before he begins, and after his gorging, he's 16 lbs heavier. Most of the challenges are 10,000, which is hard enough to fathom as it is, but the 30K challenge would lead to a hospital stay if actually completed. I don't buy it.

I know of eating contests but I never heard of someone gorging themselves that way. A hospital stay seems likely.

Review of the day:
I'm limping along at this point . I might have to roll in some intense aerobics to shock my body back to losing again.

207.8 this morning. Did the 6 planned cycle trips this week - first 5 were pretty hard going, 6th one was much better, partly getting used to the effort, partly because of less headwind, maybe partly due to the energy bars before the trip. Need to get some better fitting cycle shorts though - the current ones fitted me 2 years ago and 30+ pounds lighter; chafing R us

My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs weight 7 days ago 210 Today's weigh in: 208 (-2 ) Total Weight Loss ( -10)
I’m changing the format and just posting todays weight and the weight I was 7 days ago.
The weekend had a lot of bad eating but I plan to reset my dedication to eating good food. I'm also going to enhance my exercise plan and include cardio with higher intensity. No bread and no added sugar is a staple of my plan.

Red Bull is slow death and should be avoided at all costs - I hate all energy drinks.

Back from swimming 12 laps today and I'm quite tired from doing so. Took me an extra 10 minutes to get me there. The 1/8 mile track is being repaired this week and I will do swimming the rest of the week and weigh myself on Friday.

Or make the mistake of mixing if with alcohol. That's only one time I had to make that mistake. I learned from it.

Just thought if check in. It's the last full day of vacation, so I am not weighing myself. I'll be back to weighing in on Wednesday. All I can say is that I feel like this vacation has gone well for me. I eat what I want (though, generally, my preferences have been surprisingly healthy) and get TONS of exercise. I figure I walk about 5 miles a day and ride nearly ad much via bicycle, plus going to the beach and pool are pretty active experiences.
My wife has finally been acknowledging my weight loss, which is big for me. She can see the difference, and I can too.
Ready to get back into things on Wednesday. So long as I didn't gain from where I was before vacation, I'll be happy.

Glad to see you're coming back Shax. I'll admit that this past Saturday and Sunday I ate what I wanted with abandon. I was a total brat, but it seems that the madness has left me. I was in control the whole day today.

Good on you all. My last check in with the doctor 3 months ago revealed my sugar levels were just under the diabetic threshold, so I have been making some lifestyle changes the last few months to try to be more preventative and eat healthier. Went for a 3 month follow up today to find my sugar had dropped 22 points and I had lost 16 pounds since the last time I was there. The weight loss wasn't a goal per se, but a happy side affect of the changes I made to improve my dietary habits vis-a-vis the sugar intake.
