My elderly mother was sent to the emergency room last night, and they still don't know what's wrong with her, so I went off diet in a major way last night and will not be weighing in today.

Saturday 7-18-15 My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs weight 7 days ago 206 Today's weigh in: 205 (-1 ) Total Weight Loss ( -13)
Review of the day:
I Made the mistake of not having any fiber in the form of fruit and Vegetables and stayed the same weight as yesterday. I ate Fried chicken too, which is a no no. I went to the gym and ran for 25 minutes because I'd realized the error of my ways late in the afternoon. Anyway , I am the same weight as yesterday(205) and I'm a pound down from 7 days ago , so at least that's a plus.
I would consider it a major victory to stay at 205 come Monday morning. That is my goal.

Sunday 7-19-15
My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs weight 7 days ago 206 Today's weigh in: 206 (same as last week ) Total Weight Loss ( -12)
Review of the day:
I ate well before 630pm and then I visited my parents and was not going to deny myself home cooking. I am the same weight as 7 days ago but went up a pound from yesterday. I’m planning on going to run in a while. I'm still working to be 205 by tomorrow.
*sigh*

I didn't workout yesterday and I felt like walking the track today and walked 4 miles (32 laps) instead. I'll do a short workout at the pool doing 8-12 laps tomorrow and take time off on Tuesday because I'll seeing ANT-MAN that day with friends.

Went to the gym this morning and did the treadmill for 25 minutes and lifted weights afterwards. I'm paranoid to not go up anymore for the Monday Morning weigh in. I might take a bike ride later to stack the deck, even in this oppressive heat.

Thanks for your comments earlier on this thread and that bike ride sounds good even for a short awhile and good luck with it even in the oppressive heat.

I just got on my bike and rode 4.43 miles in 21 minutes. It was 1030pm and humid.

Didn't feel much like cycling today and it took me an age to get out of the house... then felt great once I was on the bike (despite the drizzling rain, which the weather forecast got wrong, again) and ended up taking 6 minutes off my best time so far for the to-work course. That'll do as a start to the week. Aiming at 4 days cycling this week, so really pleased with this as a start to the week .
Weight a bit up after 4 not-great food days (football match (viewing not playing), a fairly sizeable amount of pizza, then away to the parents for the weekend), at 207.4, but not too bad considering. 206 or bust by the end of this week!

Monday 7-20-15
My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs weight 7 days ago 208 Today's weigh in: 205 (-3 ) Total Weight Loss ( -13)
Review of the day:
Mission accomplished. I am 205- the same weight I was when the weekend began. Yesterday I diverted from my plan 2 times , I had an apple turnover with a friend for brunch and at night I had 3 bowls of cereal. I made up for it by doing cardio early in the morning and late at night. It’s crazy to do that , but I have to think outside of the box these days. Another major victory was that I didn’t have any wine at all this weekend. I’m hoping to knock on the 200 LB door by Friday.

Day 63
Today's weigh in: 242.5 lbs (-0.5 from last weigh-in four days ago)
22.5 lbs down / 42.5 lbs to go
I keep trying to get back on the diet, and life keeps getting in the way. Things are not going well with my mother's health, and I absolutely cannot handle not comfort-eating during a time like this. The good news is that I'm apparently not gaining weight doing it. I definitely don't binge as much as I used to, it doesn't occur to me to eat as often, and I still exercise some semblance of control over my eating.
With exactly four weeks left in the summer for me, it's become clear that I'm not going to lose all that much more weight before the summer is over, so I'm going to have to hope I can do well with my eating once the school year resumes on August 20. On the plus side, I'll be busy/distracted more often, so there will be less temptation and opportunity to eat badly. On the negative side, there will be more stress and less time to shop/cook/eat properly.
If life settles down, and I can get my act together, I could still be in the 220s before school resumes, but I haven't significantly lost weight in more than three weeks now, so I'm not going to artificially build my hopes up.
To look at it a different way, though, I've dropped over 20 lbs and kept it off with very little effort. That's promising and should serve as encouragement to go further once my life gets back to some kind of normal.
