Day 66
Today's weigh-in: 242 lbs (-1 lb from two days ago)
23 lbs down / 62 lbs to go
Forgot to weigh-in yesterday. I've had a lot on my mind, but I've noticed I've gotten into healthier eating habits, still generally eating less and (usually) healthier as habit without putting forth much conscious effort. I'm starting to think the regimented schedule of returning to school will actually accelerate my weight loss as opposed to deter it, so a part of me is actually looking forward to that, but for now, my first priority is enjoying the remainder of my summer, which has proven difficult in light of so many major problems this summer, but it's a goal that I'm invested in attaining.

you'll know that you really are 204.4 if that number shows up tomorrow. You're right of course - the number is subject to differences in hydration (mostly controllable) and how much food is in the digestive system (not so much). I try to standardise as much as possible by weighing in the same state each morning, ie as soon as I get up, before any food or drink and after "eliminating" anything that's up for elimination. Realistically, there is going to be a pound or so variance that's out of my control, depending on whether my gut has worked in favour of a low score or not. Ultimately, it's a semi-random walk which you try to keep pointed the right direction, crowing over the new lows which zig in your favour and passing swiftly over the results which zag against you. All of which leads me to crowing over a new low of 204 lbs!

Awesome , Garth. You know, people have to realize what A big thing it is to gain or lose one pound. You have to create a change that equals 3500 calories. That isn't an easy thing to do. Even gaining weight requires a drastic change in consumption.

Start 218
Last week- 205 Today- 204 (-1) Over all (-14)
Review :
I took a road trip with my wife which had some unconventional eating over the last two days , but stayed the same as before the trip. I'm home now so it's time to eat clean and do some cardio. I have a bbq at my home Saturday but I'm confident I can eat within reason.

Day 67
Today's weigh in: 242.5 lbs (+0.5)
22. 5 lbs to go / 62.5 lbs to go
I went to bed early last night, so I guess that gave me less of an opportunity to work off dinner. Oh well. To be honest, I'm really not invested in weight loss right now. Too much else going on. But my mother should be leaving the hospital today. We're going camping this weekend, but, when we come back, maybe life will return to enough of a semblance of normal that I can care about this again.

Saturday 7-25-15 My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs weight 7 days ago 205 Today's weigh in: 204 (-1 ) Total Weight Loss ( -14)
Review of the day: I ate off the plan but I guess I ate just enough to stay the same. I was ay Moms house, so I always eat moms cooking with love. Anyway, today we have a BBQ and I plan to take it easy, but just in case, I am biking to and from work today to get some calories in the bank. Monday will make 2 full months dieting and it's only at a 14 pound loss. If I could push it to a 15 pound loss , I would be sort of okay about it.

Daughter's birthday today, so diet out of the window, though not outrageously so - probably 400 or 500 calories over my target. Back to the schedule tomorrow

In the not-quite three months since the breakup, I went from 86 kilos (189.5 lbs) to 83 (183 lbs). It's steady, but not fast enough to be on track for a realistic weight to run that half marathon in late September.

What I ate today: Low-fat yoghurt with oats and flax seeds. Chick peas with onion, home grown hot chili peppers and some greens. I slice whole wheat toast with jam Salad with avocado, egg and a tiny amount of cheese. 1 protein bar. Beverages: Black tea, green tea and water. Exercise was a 14 kilometer (8.7 miles) run with my best friend.

I think the day I retire, I'm in big trouble. You're eating some good stuff there, pip.

Monday 7-27-15
My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs weight 7 days ago 205 Today's weigh in: 203 (-2 ) Total Weight Loss ( -15)
Review of the Day;
I threaded lightly yesterday to realize a loss today. I also went to the gym and lifted, as well as, doing cardio for 30 minutes. Today makes 2 months of modified eating and the breakdown is a 10 pound loss in the first month and 5 pounds loss in the second month. It seems like such a long journey but i hope to hang on to my goal weight once I reach it because of the extra time it took to learn new eating habits.

That's a good loss curve - if you can keep to 1-or-so lb/week after the first month, you're doing well. Today is the start of my 4th week of cycling to/from work. Despite the 5 minute squall of rain (contrary, yet again, to the useless weather forecast) and gusty head/side wind over parts of it, I felt great on the ride, much easier and fitter than I've felt on even the other good rides, and feeling comfortable cruising in higher gears. Aiming for M/T/W/F/Sa riding this week, so let's see how comfortable I feel on Wednesday, which will be my first 3-day sequence since my restart Also had new low on weight at 203.4 (-16.6 total), so trend is still moving in the right direction.

Day 70
Today's weigh in: 241.5 lbs (-1 from last weigh in)
23.5 lbs down / 61.5 to go
With all the craziness as of late (my mother still in the hospital, going out of town on two trips in three weeks, etc) I'm still not giving any attention to purposefully dieting, so it's great to know I'm still slowly losing. I hope I can find an equilibrium in my life soon where I can begin dieting more purposefully again.
