Actually surprised it stayed even and didn't go up. My sleep schedule has been totally messed up this last week, which in turn has totally messed up my eating habits, plus I went off the rails at a friend's birthday party. Not to mention the fact that when I weighed myself a week ago I pretty much hadn't eaten in three days and thus had no poop in my body at all. So I am okay with this result.

I've only swam 8 laps today and I was cut short because of pool maintenance and an unexpected senior citizen pool party today. I'll resume tomorrow.

Tuesday 7-28-15
My starting weight: 218 My goal: 180 lbs weight 7 days ago 205 Today's weigh in: 205 (0 gain or loss ) Total Weight Loss ( -13)
Review of the day:
I ate badly and initially saw 208! when I got on the scale this morning. After running errands on an empty stomach, I saw a more reasonable 205 around 1230pm. Water retention will get you every time. Boy, did my heart sink when I saw 208 on the scale.
I'm going to try to shake it off and go to the gym later today and do some running.
Added Note: On Sunday I went to the gym and did weight lifting. I took it up a notch and did more sets and , as a result, have a lot of soreness today.

Review of the day:
It was my day off and I went to a buffet around 1230pm. Not a good move. It put more bad carbs and made me hold onto the salt from the previous day. Even eating nothing but oranges the rest of the day, did nothing to lower the number. Todays another day.

202.6 today, which is a new low, but probably more due to an upset stomach than yesterday's cycling. For the same reason, today's bike escapades are cancelled

Day 72
Today's weigh in: 241.5 lbs (-0 from last weigh-in)
23.5 lbs down / 61.5 to go
Two days of intense stress and some bad eating, but no gain nor loss. Things are FINALLY looking a lot better for my mothers, but I'm still a massive ball of stress trying to find my equilibrium. Hopefully, I'll be back to good dieting shortly.

Review of the day:
From 10am to 430pm I ate 2/3rds of a bag of oreo cookies. Ate night , I ate salmon with salad. Even with the Oreo eating I went back down to my low of 203. I wanted to jump on my bike last night but I was a bit spent from the heat of the day. I'm hoping to see 202 tomorrow.

Man, weight loss without the effort -- where have you been all my life?
I realize that this is happening because, even without giving it much attention or effort, I'm now automatically practicing better eating habits, and that neglecting paying attention to my diet for too long will ultimately result in my falling out of those habits. Also, hummus may be my new best friend. I've always kind of liked hummus before, but I had it for a snack yesterday, had it for another snack I should not have had, then had it with dinner too, and felt very very satisfied throughout the day: neither too full nor at all hungry. For the first time in probably ever, food just wasn't on my mind at all with the proper amount of hummus in me and, somehow, I still lost weight this morning, so I think that's got to become a new regular part of my eating.

Went to football again yesterday. Plus point: team played pretty well; Minus points: .... but didn't get the result; also ate mountains of crap again.
203.0 this morning, which isn't too bad, considering, followed by a really good cycle into work, with my best ever time for this route.

Starting Weight: 271 Pounds
Week 1 - 270.5 Week 1 - 272.5 (Monday, after the 4th) Week 2 - 270.5 Week 3 - 269.2 Week 4 - 268.0
Week 5 - 267.5 pounds.
Today, I swam only 8 laps and walked a mile on track field and came home. I weighed myself before working out and lost a half pound this week and thinking about making an effort to work out on Sunday. In five weeks, I lost 5 1/2 pounds and I was hoping that I do better. My metabolism will be changing in August and I usually lose a lot of weight then.

Review:
Eating off plan again yesterday kept me the same weight for the last 2 days. I have to reload and get back to the gym, even in the thick of the heat and humidity. On the plus side, July 1st I was 209 and today,August 1st , I am 204. So, I'm at least I'm going in the right Direction. I have to keep reminding myself that I am making a lifestyle change and It will take a long time to reprogram my thinking about my relationship to food.
