Last working day before holiday, so I'm signing off from the thread for a couple of weeks - today's weight is 194.6 (25.4 down from peak, probably something like that away from optimum). Will be happy to come back from holiday below 200, and ecstatic to be below 196 - but I'm not holding my breath for either. On the bright side, "Greece and chocolate" don't really mix because of the heat, so my main source of additional calories will be largely off the agenda; unfortunately, "Greece and Ice cream" and "Holiday and cold lager" go together really well... Enjoy your holiday!

I have something else to add- Starting Saturday Afternoon , I have a week off for vacation. Vacations are dangerous to diets so I have a plan to bike 100 miles during the 7 days to try to balance the extra eating that I know will follow. It's the last week off I have for the year and I have to make sure I don't give too much of my weight loss back.

Swam 18 laps today trying out the new swimsuit that I got from Water Polo League and they fit great!

Day 109
Today's weigh-in: 233 lbs (same as the last two day, +1 from my all-time low)
32 lbs down / 53 to go
I've been seriously depressed over my lack of weight loss over the past week. The hardest part is that I haven't been bad. I've really really been working at it, but crap beyond my control keeps happening. In the case of last night, I spent an hour and a half preparing my food for the next three days, sat down to enjoy a hard earned meal, and our new puppy came out of nowhere to jump up on me, landing right in my dinner. Desperately hungry, but knowing I wasn't going to have time to cook again in the next three days (so I couldn't make another of my salads), the healthiest thing I could find to eat was a box of dried Special K cereal. Before I realized it, I'd eaten more than half the box. I stopped there and had nothing else, but I've lost no weight this morning and feel like I'm starving (I don't eat until 12pm!).
This is the worst.
The absolute worst.
And I've been so good on my diet. I really REALLY thought I'd be 229 by the end of this week.
I am so miserable right now.

206 this morning. I'm okay with it after having all you can eat ribs with fried chicken last night. I'm planning to go to a bike shop to have my seat and rear tire replaced today. My goal is to ride 100 miles in the next 9 days.

206 this morning. I'm okay with it after having all you can eat ribs with fried chicken last night. That's really not bad! Now, treat that like the gift it was and stay on diet today. I want to see you back at 205 tomorrow! Maybe (for once) you and I can lose weight at the same damn time.
