Finished 3 days of bike commuting, each day less satisfactory than the last. Now definitely sore in the nether regions, and the bike's gears still playing up - taking it back to the shop tomorrow. Also just eaten most of a large deep-pan pizza, which wasn't even particularly good.
Not one of my better days.
Onwards and downwards tomorrow (I feel like there should be an "Excelsior!" at the end of that sentence, somehow)

9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8#
Well. . I figured. . it's been a very stressful, and very rough week (including a TON of work stress, and having to drop another 1K into the car (which I just got back from the shop on Sat).
so after eating Cheescake Ice Cream and polishing off a bag of Oreos (I know, I know), my weight this morning?
9/27: 246.2#
so a gain, of about 1.4lbs. (sad face).
but back on the plan today, and going to try to not drink any "regular" sodas. . I'm already down to just 1 a day.

Well, I may still be down about not getting below 230 lbs after four weeks of trying, and I might also have gone off diet for four days in response, but I'm looking at pictures from a wedding we attended this weekend, and I cannot believe how good I look. I look very different from pictures taken just two weeks ago, so more evidence that the scale doesn't reflect everything. Back on the diet and the regular weigh-ins tomorrow morning.

You can drop it again easily. Hang in there!

After 3 days of dietary disaster, I weighed in at 191.8 this morning, which is a distinct improvement on the 196+ I was rocking at points over the weekend. In over-eating as in troubles besetting oneself, this too will pass No bike today, still in the shop for the gears to be resolved; which may be a bit of mercy on my poor wounded butt, albeit a miss of a nice cycling day.

Taking the day off and preparing myself for my first Water Polo Match in the morning - excited in playing two matches a week only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will be swimming in an equivalent of half mile or more in each and every match.

Day 133
Today's weigh-in: 234 lbs (+4 lbs from the last weigh-in, as well as my all-time low)
31 lbs down / 54 to go
Considering that I was cheating right up to two hours before bed this weekend, and that I'd been cheating for four days instead of the usual two, I'm not surprised to be back at 234 today. Will I get to 229 this week? Maybe not, but in looking at pictures of myself this week and comparing them to images from two weeks ago (when I weighed the same amount I do now) there is a very noticeable difference. My weight is not catching up with what the rest of my body has been doing.

Did not weigh myself today, going to take a few days off of weighing myself, though not from the diet. Had a bit of a rough weekend eating-wise. Not exactly a cheat day, but Saturdays are turning out to be kind of tough, as it's the day I'm most likely to be out doing things and eating with other people, making it the hardest to control in terms of what I'm eating. I'm pretty sure I'm up a little if only from weekend bloat, so I'm going to buckle down and in a couple days hopefully I'll at least be back where I should be if not lower.

Day 134
Today's weigh-in: 232.5 lbs (-1.5 lbs from yesterday, +2.5 from all-time low)
32.5 lbs down / 52.5 lbs to go
Had dinner late last night, which accounts for the fact that I'm losing my weekend weight at a slower rate than usual. I was also off-diet for four days as opposed to two.
I'm finally going to crunch those numbers tonight and look at the full nutritional breakdown of what I'm eating -- see if there are any changes I can make that will get me losing below 230 lbs again. I've just been VERY busy.

First Water Polo Match
My team the Tigersharks won our 1st Match this morning by a score of 21 to 17. I score a hat-trick of three goals and assisted on 3 others making my scoring record 9 points for today. You get two points for each goal, and a point for assisting it; and it was very tiring after playing four quarters and I felt like swimming nearly a mile and you swim very hard for two quarters. My backup scored 1 goal and assisted on 2 others and he hasn't done anything like this in his life.
I did played organized Water Polo in my High School/College Days and haven't done this for nearly 30 years. It was so tired that I was very hungry after the match and decided to stop by for lunch before heading home. Had a healthy lunch today; and it was very tasty - had a Chicken with Cranberries on a bed of spinach and some assorted greens.
My first impression that the Water Polo Match was extremely fast pace and you use the entire pool that was close for 2 hours for Match Play and I got another match this Thursday Afternoon and one thing that you swim back in forth about an average of 8-12 times during the match and countless swimming side to side that you often lost count of and having said that it was crazy on your body trying to focus on the Ball and among other things like your own teammates. It was fun, lots and lots of exercise and my legs are extremely sore swimming to an equivalent almost a mile (or more) and I don't feel like working out tomorrow. With Water Polo Season officially underway, I will be working out only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
I will weigh myself on Thursday and report it late Thursday Night and/or early Friday Morning.

Today and yesterday have been the absolute roughest/craziest days. On top of that, I was feeling serious withdrawal from my diet to the extent that I felt ill. So screw it. Hit Taco Bell on the way home and snacked more once home. I need this today.
I'll be lucky if I get to 230 again this week.

Distinctly plateaued at the moment - bouncing around the 192 mark, without making any progress.

Day 135
Today's weigh-in: 231 lbs (-1.5 from yesterday, +1 from all-time low)
34 lbs down / 51 to go
Considering both that I cheated BADLY on Tuesday and that I ran out of healthy food last night (I made do with leftover salad toppings, yogurt, and granola -- I am a warrior), it's really not bad for me to be at 231 right now.
Unfortunately, I am still out of food supplies beyond today's lunch and will not have time to go shopping tonight. I may not make it back to 230 this week.
But at least I've shown myself that I can get back on diet with serious commitment. There is always next week.

Just when I was feeling a bit blah about the whole thing... I set a new speed record for the trip home on the bike (allowing for a slightly longer route), and all the way into a quite strong headwind. Really pleased with that - didn't feel that fast, but was a really powerful ride, and pleased I managed to avoid stopping much (by "standing" on the bike and timing approaches to traffic lights), only had to unclip about 4 times. Admittedly, I only avoided falling over in heavy traffic at one point by pushing off against a car, but minor details!
