Will you forgive me if I move up to the 40 lb club soon? Not just forgive*, but applaud your achievement and seek to emulate it (* eventually)

Congrats Shaxper!
as for me, the small changes I have implemented (only 1 diet cola with lunch and nothing but water after 9pm) are starting to pay off:
9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6#
so I'm sown just 2.2 lbs since starting, but going in the correct direction!

So I've done another day on just salad so far. I think I can stick to that tonight. Between that and the planking twice per day, I'm really hoping I can be 228 tomorrow. I can absolutely deal with going spartan on Wednesdays and Thursdays to lose 2 lbs a week from now on.
Hope with me, guys...228 lbs tomorrow!

Starting Weight - 271 Pounds
Week 9 – 263.0 Week 10 – 262.4 Week 11 – 262.0 Week 12 – 262.0 Week 13 - 261.5
We lost our first match of the year 18 to 16 to the Whirlpools today and I just scored 2 goals and assisted on 3 others today; my backup scored 1 goal and assisted on 2 others in a tightly contested game. Prior to this match, we'll be playing the morning because some members complained about it. I've prefer to play in the morning because I'm more alert and focused. So our record stands at 3-1. We have 20 more matches to go. Then playoff afterwards ... I'm one of the leaders in scoring and points scored. 4th in Scoring and 5th in Points Scored.
Lost a half a pound just playing water polo!

Day 143
Today's weigh-in: 228 lbs (-1 lb from yesterday, new all-time low!)
37 lbs down / 48 lbs to go
Waist: 44.9" (-0.6"), Chest: 42.5" (-0.5"). Planking twice a day is paying off!
Holy crud, I'm really doing it! I'm really losing again, and at a rapid-fire pace. Obviously, I can't pull this off every day, eating two salads and nothing else, but I can do my normal routine Monday and Tuesday and then go Spartan for Wednesday and Thursday so that my end of week weigh-in shows a two pound net loss. In fact, next week, I may try to do it for three days instead of two so that I can hit 225 by the end of the week. That would have me down 40 lbs!
I am so darn relieved that I found a workable way to start losing weight again. I suspect I probably was very slowly losing weight before, but that my weekend cheating was counterbalancing that gradual loss. I just can't give up going off diet for the weekends. I may try to do it with a little more restraint this weekend, but I always enjoy pigging out for our Friday night meetup with our friends, and we're going to the drive-in Saturday night, and they have the BEST junk food. So I'll try not to eat much between those two evenings. Maybe even just get back on diet as early as Sunday instead of Monday. Sunday brunch hasn't been that enjoyable lately anyway.
I'm babbling. It's also four in the morning. I just had to check the scales this morning and was too thrilled to go back to bed!!!

Day 144
Today's weigh-in: 233 lbs (+5 from last weigh in)
32 lbs down / 53 to go
I usually gain back about 4 temporary pounds after the weekend, but yesterday was a very very bad day, and I was stuffing myself with comfort food up to about five minutes before going to bed, so this is not unexpected. I can take it off. Just got to get myself feeling better. With the right mindset, this can be the week I hit 225.

Weight fell off a cliff last week, partly from plateau breaking at last, partly due to extremely stressful week - bottomed out at 186.0 (good) but looking about 100 years old (not so good). Gained a bit back over the weekend, so started today at 187.4. Wasn't feeling great today, so skipped bike. Plenty of stress to come over the next (at least) couple of months, so new weight target of 97 lbs*. (* Gallows humour. Real target is 98 lbs ) More realistically / less pessimistically, I've got some big targets coming up on the horizon - 182 lbs is both a stone boundary (13st 0lbs) and definitely would be my lowest weight for 10+ years**; 180 is 40 lbs down; 178 is a stone-loss boundary (3st (42lbs) down). Also closing in on 6" loss on my waist measurement. (** lowest was an indicated 178 but with scale under-reading by about 3%, which equates to about 183, so 182 to be sure)

Week Twenty weight: 212.6 Week Twenty One weight: 213.6
Pretty sure this is a bit of a false reading, just carrying around some temporary excess. I was still at 212.6 yesterday and I'm confident I didn't actually put on a pound overnight.
I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow, so my eating habits will be up in the air for the next couple weeks, and I also won't be able to weigh myself. We'll see what things look like when I get back.

Well, I had made an effort about six weeks ago to get the gym three days per week and eat better, and that lasted for about two weeks. I had a serious motivation problem, as getting up at 4:15 AM to get to the gym, work out, shower, and get to my desk by 6:30 just wasn't an attractive option. Now that baseball season is over (well, for me it is, since my Pirates got bumped from playoffs last week) and I can regulate my TV watching to more reasonable and controllable hours, I'm committing myself back to the cause.
Another issue I had was that I was trying to do Monday-Wednesday-Friday, but getting up early on Monday was rough, particularly now that our weekends are overstuffed with soccer and swim meets and church and Bible study, so I made another adjustment. I am trying to go to the gym either Saturday morning before going to the grocery store or Sunday before church, so that way I am going Weekend-Tuesday-Thursday; I think this shift will be a big help, as I won't be dreading having to start off the week with a workout.
Weigh-in on Sunday, October 11, 2015: 224.5 lbs Target Weight by December 31, 2015: 217 lbs (I have to be realistic, particularly with the holiday season around the bend, and if I beat my target, hooray for me).

Day 145
Today's weigh-in: 230 lbs (-3 lbs from yesterday, +2 from all-time low)
35 lbs down / 50 to go
Waist: 44" (-0.9"), Chest: 42.5" (-0")
Holy crud. So I still feel like my body is draining itself of garbage I ingested Sunday night. Therefore, I'm not worried about being back at the dreaded 230 mark. But almost an entire inch dropped from my waste? MAN, planking is paying off. Yesterday was rough for sugar withdrawal; as the weather gets cooler, there's more and more temptation for me to kick into hibernation mode (add as much fat as possible to my body and sleep for four months), but I want to try to make this the week that I hit 225 lbs. We'll see if I can do spartan mode for the rest of the week (just two salads a day; nothing else). Worst case scenario, I'll allow myself my normal allotment of non-fat yogurt if things get too rough, but I'm going to try to hit the landmark this week and finally be down a full forty pounds.

So where is everyone else this week??
Day 146
Today's weigh-in: 227.5 lbs (-2.5 lbs from yesterday, new all-time low)
37.5 lbs down / 47.5 lbs to go
Had almost no trouble going spartan yesterday (only eating two salads for the entire day). Going to see if I can keep that going through Thursday so that I can definitely be 225 lbs by the end of the week. While I'm definitely not getting enough nutrition by doing this, I'm hoping that my going off-diet each weekend is enough of a counter-balance to keep my body in check. So far, I haven't felt particularly weak or malnourished. Obviously, if I begin to think something is wrong, I will have more food.
Today is parent teacher conferences, so I will be at work from 7am to 8:15 pm. I am bringing two salads and keeping some yogurt and cereal around in case I end up needing it. Unfortunately, the school tries to be nice by giving the teachers a lot of food on these days. There will be TONS of pasta, pizza, garlic bread, etc., as well as students going around to the teachers offering cookies and snacks throughout the night. One of the few nice things our school still does for teachers, but it's going to make my diet very difficult tonight!

Shax. you're hitting it out of the park. Well done. As long as you're not feeling weak, keep with the salads.

Shax. you're hitting it out of the park. Well done. As long as you're not feeling weak, keep with the salads. I get a little light headed at two points during the day, but I think it's more a sugar crash than anything. Really, I generally feel like I have MORE energy lately as a combination of eating nutritiously, losing the weight, and planking twice a day. A nice way to feel as we head into the cold, dark months of the year.
