i saw someone with one of these in a comic show last year. I was tempted to get one but I didn't want to be branded as an ULTRA geek.

Would love to rock the conventions sporting this. Conventional book bags jut out in the back too much and clog up narrow aisles.

Edit * Did a quick search on eBay to see the American sellers wanting almost 50 dollars for the item , while the China sellers wanting between 11- 25. I suspect the China version to be a knockoff.

I'd get that (Not sure what I'd use it for. Laptop?) but I'd be too tempted to fling it at any shady looking character that I suspected of being up to no good. I can picture myself yelling, "Stop! You must yield!" and as I fling it to the side, intending it to ricochet off the wall and hit the guy in the back of the head, reality sets in when it feebly falls to the ground in a crumpled heap...
Talk about embarrassing.

Apon examining the book bag, it feels like a cheap knockoff of the more expensive one. If you compare both pictures of mine and the OP's photos, you can see the original has brown thick straps. The inside of my bag doesn't look padded like the the other one, either. I guess it can carry items but I'm not sure it would carry the amount of comics that I buy at a show without tearing. Ill have to conduct a few experiments around my home.

Yeah, It's a copy but I rather pay 20 for a nice looking knockoff than 55 for the real thing. I can't imagine using it much so that it would tear or rip.

Saw a young schoolgirl walking through town with the Cap shield bag on her back today. Made me smile.

I was ridiing my bike today with my Cap Back pack and when I took it off, one of the straps broke at the point where it connects to the bag. Well, the experiment is a failure. Get the real version and not the knockoff. Now to see if my wife can do her magic and re attach it.

Get the real version and not the knockoff. Now to see if my wife can do her magic and re attach it. Sorry that the bag didn't hold up. Hope your wife can fix it. Out of curiosity, the actual shield part looks like fabric or soft plastic in the photos I've seen of both versions. Is it fabric or a rigid plastic? Thanks.
