I have the impression that they dont even know these characters like Ron Troupe, at least not in detail. They just look for "superman supporting characters" on wikipedia and read some summarizes, never the stories. Let's wait for "Linda Page" in the next Batman movie. Oh I definitely got the same vibe. That had a pic at least, the actor LOOKED some like Ron Troupe.. and Steve Lombard (who DID have a few lines) was spot on. |

I seem to recall that Ron Troupe is in the "My Adventures With Superman" cartoon. And his name is at least mentioned in an episode of "Smallville."  |

Good news, it looks like the gap between the Superman: The Exile & Other Stories Omnibus and the the Superman: The Triangle Era Omnibus Vol.1 will finally be filled next year by Superman: Brainiac Reborn Omnibus.

OMG I just saw the movie, and no, I'm not going to discuss it here because James Gunn clearly didn't read anything from this era when writing the film, but guys? GUYS??? They put RON TROUPE in the movie!!!...Of course, he doesn't actually do anything, but that's pretty par for the course.If you blinked , you missed him.  |

Good news, it looks like the gap between the Superman: The Exile & Other Stories Omnibus and the the Superman: The Triangle Era Omnibus Vol.1 will finally be filled next year by Superman: Brainiac Reborn Omnibus. That is good news! Still, I'm disappointed that they just didn't do a Triangle Era volume 0 since volume 1 really doesn't start at any kind of sensible starting point. Continuity was already well in place, the imposition of the triangles on the covers coinciding more with the start of a new year than any kind of jumping on point for new readers. |
