The Goon vol 8: Those That Is Damned. Things get seriously dark in this one. Paper Girls vol 3: This is just a heckin' great comic book. Paper Girls is a really fun book.

Most recently, the last 2 issues of Cinema Purgatorio. The three features respectively written by Moore, Ennis, and Gillen continue to be first rate while I've come to the point where I barely even skim through the other two, especially the American Civil War story.
I have the latest Love and Rockets and Corben's Shadows from the Grave but haven't read them yet.

I usually buy automatically anything the Hernandezes print but for some reason this is the first I've heard or seen of Blubber. I'll have to check if I can order the back issues.

Finished up Kill or Be Killed Volume 2: whole feeling: ...eh... It's Brubaker/Philips so it's technically outstanding as usual, but I don't feel the second volume adds much to the first volume. Compared to the Fade-Out where I was ambivalent on the first volume and then completely drawn in for the 2nd and 3rd.
Also just bought the Humble Bundle so I have a ton of G.I. Joe and Transformers comics from IDW to go through.

I binge read Marvel's Original Sin since last night and up to today.
I thought it was pretty good, decent. Now I know a little bit more as to why the things are such as in Mighty Thor and Unworthy Thor etc.
Now I can binge read catch up on the beginning of Mighty Thor and go through Unworthy Thor again

Still reading through Invincible.
The more I read it the more I like it.
Kirkman has brass and I like what he does here.
He takes chances, which is great, and you never are 100% sure of what will happen.
Invincible is kind of like Peter Parker with Superboy powers.
That in itself is cool, but then his dad is like Superman except he was here as a sleeper agent to take over the planet.
Then dad reveals himself and Invincible fights him, and it's epic.
That's pretty much the start.
Invincible becomes a government agent and there's a group, sort of Avengers-ish, he's a part of.
It's pretty good.
Invincible meets a super bad hombre that nearly kills him, and some others, and the fight scenes are incredible.
A really fun read.

I've always enjoyed the meta-commentary by Kirkman. Especially early on, when Mark would go and pick his comics up at the mall.

I like the Savage Dragon character, and though I like and admire Erik Larsen, his artwork is too disjointed for my taste.
With the right inker to smooth things out a bit, I'm sure I'd like it more.
As for Invincible, Kirkman gets better and better.
I like the world he's built here esp the Guardians of the Globe and Cecil, who very much reminds me of Joe Biden.
Is it just me or does anyone else get that vibe ?
I'm on issue 70 of 112.
I've read Kirkman is in the process of wrapping this up.
I'll follow it through to the end.

Frankenstein alive alive, by Bernie Wrightson (IDW): graphics are fantastic ! Sadly only 3 issues were completed and the story will remain unfinished, but it was a masterpiece in the making by Niles and Wrightson. -M

Sadly only three issues were completed -M Yes, very sad indeed. And I have been unlucky enough to miss the third issue...

In honor of the King's B-Day, I reread the Kirby: Genesis mini-series from Ross and Busiek. I think I liked it a little more the second time around. And I picked up the trades of the spin-offs on Comixology, so I have those to look forward too.
