That looks pretty darn good!!! I really liked Volume 1. Volume 2 is out and as soon as my short moratorium on buying new stuff is over, it's going to be ordered (as well as Vol. 1 which is only $7 on Amazon). -M

I grabbed an issue of Mother Panic (it was the 2nd one, I think) and it seemed overly violent to me, but I also didn't love the art style, so it just wasn't for me, I guess.
Cave Carson was decent, the one I read for that was decent enough, but not enough to get more... I'd read it out of the library if I saw it, though.
Southern Cross is very tempting looking... I'll have to check that out!

I got the first three issues of Doom Patrol and the first issue of Cave Carson for a buck each on Comixology a while back. I liked them enough to definitely want to read more, when the price is right.

Read The Kamandi Challenge #9 and was blown away by the quality of the artwork by Kevin Eastman. I think his first ever with DC Comics. Not only that but the story was good. I am going to have to go back and read the rest of the run because... wow!

Read volume 4 of Sex Criminals (and I really need to reread the first 3 because I had trouble remembering some of the sideplots).
Also read volume 7 of East of West and that keeps on trucking along nicely.

A re-read probably wouldn't hurt for me, either. Me no remember good. Also read volume 7 of East of West and that keeps on trucking along nicely. I'm collecting the OHCs of this, so it's going to be a long wait for me.

Another Hoopla borrow, I read Deadly Class Vol. 1 Reagan Youth by Rick Remender and Wes Craig. I read #1 when it came out and was on the fence, but really got into the story in the first volume. It was a little slow to get set up, hence me being on the fence last time, but once it does, it kicks into high gear and doesn't quit. Set in the late 80's I set Amazon music to play an 80s soundtrack as I read it, creating a different reading experience as well. God, the Luddite is streaming music and reading a digital copy of a trade paperback on his laptop at the same time, what is the world coming to?

I'm two volumes in so far and really enjoying it.

I tried the first issue and really liked it.
Have the entire series and am glad to see Amazon will be making a series of it.

Well, they've ordered a pilot. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

This is what makes current events in Titans all the more infuriating to me! It's like DC is giving us Classic Wally fans another double middle finger by brining Wally back from limbo, letting us have him for a year, disabling him, and then summarily killing him. I want to believe it's all a big fake-out but tptb at DC have proven themselves to be very untrustworthy in regards to their dealings with legacy characters. In truth, they're taking away the very hope that they said Rebirth was all about!

An online comic-book describes the situation of Saudi blogger Raif Badawi. The man has been jailed and condemned to 1000 lashes and a fortune in fines for blogging about Saudi society and how it may benefit from more tolerance. It's worth reading, and the more people know about Raif, the more chances there are he might finally escape from this horror. Badawi's family now lives in my home town, so that's a cause dear to my heart.

First issue of Garth Ennis' Punisher Platoon was great.
Can already tell this is going to be an awesome character study of how Frank goes from a naive, optimistic young soldier to the ruthless killing machine that he develops into.
As far as I'm concerned, Ennis is the only guy who should be allowed to write The Punisher at this point.
And this Jordie Bellaire chick is just an awesome pairing with Goran Parlov. The color palette compliments his art extremely well.

Photobucket images will no longer display, so if you want to use pics to illustrate your points, you need to use a different image hosting site because no one can see the images you are referring to. -M

Yeah, I don't know what's worse, Wally's arc or how hard they're trying to make Dick Grayson into a manipulative scum bag... I know Didio hates the 80s/90s generation of DC heroes, but geez, just don't use'em you don't have to ruin them!
