Not as far as I know. The series'd make a nice little TPB but I doubt there's enough demand.
Cei-U! I summon the bummer!

Does anyone know if Namora's 1948 three issue mini is collected in anything? I'd love to read it, but you know, the originals are quite pricey. Nope. I kept hoping for a Namora/Sun Girl Masterworks or a Bill Everett Sub-Mariner Omnibus, but Marvel has pretty much completely moved away from reprinting cool Golden Age stuff for bronze age quarter bin fodder. Not that I'm bitter. Nope.

But, give me any excuse to buy an Everett collection of ANY sort, and I could not pre-order it fast enough.

I am glad we got as much Golden and Atlas Era stuff reprinted as we did - I'm just mad that they stopped.
I really wanted a collection of Everett's Sub-Mariner stuff from after he came back from military service - I don't believe any of that (or Namora) has been reprinted in TPB/Hc. And really REALLY wanted his Venus stuff, which would have been in Atlas Era Venus Volume 2 that never happened. If there's a Golden Age Marvel Omnibus 2 that would most likely reprint Marvel Mystery comics 13-24 which have already been Masterworked, and feature the horrible, terrible, no good Terry Vance, who replaced the Ferret. (Hooray for the Ferret!)
I'm reading Everett's Biography right now, so hopefully that will hold me over.
I'd probably *shudder* even buy that stuff digitally if that was an available option.

I just assumed a second Atlas Era collection book existed, but I hadn't gotten around to purchasing it. I know, I dread having to read Namora digitally, but if it's all that's available to me, then I'm going to have to go that route.

Has Marvel discontinued the paperback editions of Marvel Masterworks? I had started collecting the Uncanny X-Men masterworks and can't find any editions after #5 (Dark Phoenix Saga).

I haven't seen any new softcover MMW lately (which I would really appreciate for a couple of series where I just don't want to drop the coin necessary to get the HC versions).

Are any of the current softcover MW in print? I know they are available form some sellers, but can you reorder them from a distributor or form Marvel itself or it is all just leftover copies on the market? I know both Doc Strange ones are oop, but when they went back to press this year, they only did the hc MMW vol. 1 of Strange, and then an omnibus coming next year. I'd also expect an Epic collection or two to crop up around movie time, but I've not seen any indication the sc will go back in print or more volumes would be forthcoming for it. If they aren't going to so it to support an upcoming movie property, I doubt they will do softcover MW for any property. -M

They ended with Warlock vol. 1 about a year and a half back. Atlas Era Heroes (vol. 1) would have been next. (Yay, Bill Everett!) That was by far my favorite format for Marvel Reprints, and I have almost all of 'em.

Thanks for the information, posters! Much appreciated. I really enjoyed those editions and wish Marvel had kept printing them. It was a nice way to read those stories. Guess I'll wait for an omnibus or purchase the hardcover editions. I do have X-Men omnibus of the original X-men run from 1963-69 and then started buying the paperback masterworks.

There are two Uncanny X-men Omnibususeseses collecting the 1975 series, with a volume 3 on the way. I know the first omnibus reprinted the first four masterworks, but I dunno what the later ones reprint.

Even if we never were to agree on anything else in the comic world, at least we both agree that Everett was the best thing ever. Or something close to it.

I am liking Marvel's new epic collections, but you get a certain completeness with Masterworks. And I pretty much always prefer paperback.
