Any help with these three guys. I know I recognize the big guy in the back but can't think of his name. The other two I don't know. Only the dude with the sword had a speaking role to end up in the credits as Vance? It's at least the only character's name in the credits I didn't recognize. imgur.com/a/GQLl5The back is Atom Smasher, the front two are Shining Knight (left) and Vigilante (right) Thanks Mecha. I knew I had some comics of Atom Smasher I just couldn't think of his name. The other two I don't think I've ever seen before. There's a lot of heroes in this Justice League Unlimited that I don't know or recognize. It's cool though learning about new characters. Thanks again.

Thanks again. Since both Shining Knight and Vigilante were created in the 1940s, I don't think they really qualify as new characters. Both were members of the original Seven Soldiers of Victory. The Shining Knight's real name is Sir Justin, the Vigilante is Greg Saunders.

Most notably, the Vigilante cropped up a few times in JLA and World's Finest and the Shining Knight was a fairly significant character in All-Star Squadron in the eighties.

Vigilante was voiced in the cartoon by Nathan Fillion, one of several Firefly cast members to have occasional roles.
Gina Torres was Vixen, Morena Baccarin played Black Canary, and Adam Baldwin did Jonah Hex.

It's everything from people pulling off multiple characters to some really high profile actors and actresses lending their voice to some fairly obscure characters if even only for an episode.

Here's a question that's puzzled me for some time, as my knowledge of 70s DC is rather limited: when did the Golden Age Atom revert back from his "Atomic-Age" costume (head-fin, atomic chest emblem) to his original Golden-Age costume (blue hood, leather waist covering, wrist-bands)? Was a reason given for the change?

I suspect it was TOTALLY up to whatever they felt like drawing. but here's a side by side of two ASS/IC issues, both by Ordway, and in the ASS 1983 cover, Atom is in the hood, but in the 1985 IC cover, he's got the fin. so who knows

I noticed Hawkman has his cowl (which he wore later) in the 2nd picture instead of his original hawk "helmet"...In 1948 the changes were made to both Hawkman & Atom's costumes.

Atom didn't revert back to his original costume (or, rather, a variant of it, until the 1992 Justice Society of America series. No reason was given for the change (other than the implied one of artist Mike Parobeck's aesthetic choice). He did, of course, wear it in All-Star Squadron and Young All-Stars, series set prior to his donning the second costume in '48.
Cei-U! I summon the fashion report!

Trying to help someone out from another forum...
The thought is it might have been from a Warren horror mag form the time. They have eliminated the Jaws Super Special that Marvel put out (it was color, the art was definitely b&W). Anyone have any idea what it might be?

This was 1978, so later than your stated timeframe, but exactly right for Jaws 2.
