Anyone following this thread probably saw it already, but I went ahead and started a thread for August. It can be a month to work out the kinks and decide if there is enough interest to try it again in September. classiccomics.boards.net/thread/2352/fantasy-comic-reading-challenge-augustAlso, fwiw, here is the somewhat tentative schedule that we came up with at my other forum when we created these Challenges. I'm not saying we have to do the same things here, just listing them for reference. The rotating company month we used DC this year, plan to do Marvel next year, etc etc. For the To Be Determined month I thought it would be nice to keep a month open every year for either smaller niches that we might not want to do every year, or any other cool idea that pops into our head. The Make-Your-Own month is my favorite because it allows for tons of creativity. You could concentrate on books by one specific creator, or only read books with giant apes, or a book from each year in your collection, or an alphabetical challenge, etc etc. January - TV/Movie/Book February - Eisner/Harvey/Etc Winners March - Rotating Company April - TBD (random idea every year) May - Make-Your-Own June - Reality July - Science Fiction August - Fantasy September - Outside-Your-Comfort-Zone October - Horror November - Comedy December - Holiday

I like the outside-your-comfort zone idea. May finally inspire me to read Black Hole.
Have you checked out the CCF film club for something we are doing with movies along these lines?

Have you checked out the CCF film club for something we are doing with movies along these lines? I'm kind of scared to do so. One, I'm pretty involved in the movie/TV Challenges at the forum that spawned me. I have a pretty OCD completionist personality, and am trying my best to divorce myself a bit from television. I often decide that I have too many hobbies and try to fade away from all of them except my longest running hobby, and the one that perhaps created my OCD completionism, comics.
