Hi guys!
I am Strykerx2K and am a new member of CCF by way of The Hall of Justice Forums. shaxper mentioned your forum is very similar to ours, culture-wise, in that you guys have a very tight-nit group, so I look forward to forging some new friendships here. I am a full on DC guy, so love the TV shows and movies. I get just about everything from DC, with a few exceptions. I love the Marvel movies and TV as well, but do not keep up with the comics, toys, or collectibles. Wonder Woman is my absolute favorite hands down, but I also like Aquaman, Hawkman, and the Super Friends. I heavily collect DC Collectibles (mostly the female characters-statues, busts, and figures but do venture out on all characters in certain things). I also pick up Sideshow statues and the deluxe DC figures, along with very few Mattel items...once they are done with the DCUC line I am pretty much done with an DC related Mattel items. I also collect MOTUC and Voltron. I am also into Tonner the DC figures only. Love classic cartoons of all types, GI Joe, Transformers, SilverHawks, etc....
Looking forward to meeting all you folks here! I don't have many folks I get to discuss MOTUC toys and such with, so I am looking forward to being able to explore that aspect of collecting with others. I have been a long time member of Toynewsi (was back to the ADCTalk days), He-man.org, Energon Station (transformers), and then The Hall of Justice (where I have posted almost 100% of the time over the past several years) as Strykerx2K. That is about it..at least the main things to give you an idea of my likes and interests.
Also want to thank shaxper for taking us on. I hope everyone likes our little group. Sounds like we probably have a lot in common!

Hello everyone - I'm Dr. Poison formerly Power Guy on Hall of Justice Forums. Shaxper found out that our forum was closing and was kind enough to invite our community over here. I'm thrilled to see that the community I built will have a new home along with some new people to interact and socialize with. I know some of your from the CBR community so it's nice to see some familiar faces here(especially Hoosier X). I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.  |

We don't have any use for new people who don't have any food to give us.
We don't have any use for not-so-new people who don't have any food to give us, either.
BTW, we're actually Gang of 6 as of 6 nights ago. Our stupid daddy has been too stupid to get it changed. He's really, really stupid.
Since there are 6 of us now, we need even more food.
That needs to be attended to.
What's wrong with you stupid people? You're all almost as stupid as our daddy. Almost.

We have a whole garage full of pet food here... but only 3 cats and 2 dogs to eat it. However, since your daddy is too stupid to find it, I don't have to worry about him taking our food for you...but it's there if you can guide him....just saying. I was a Moderator of the Hall of Justice Forum of which I know Strykerx2k and Power Guy (now Dr. Poison) - I already introduce myself in the Titans of Justice Section - My Old Moderator Name was JLA SilverAgeFan - but, I wanted a new username by a superhero by a name of Doctor Fate - he is one of my favorite Justice Society of America Member in the good ole days of the Silver Age of Comics.
I'm enjoying Superman Wonder Woman and Earth 2 Comics ...
I will try to get acquainted with this site and proceed from there. There's so much ground to cover ... but I will try my best to get acquainted with everyone here.
I'm a huge Satellite Era Fan of the Justice League of America.

Hey all I'm Golddragon71 (my friends all call me GD) I'm also a member of the Hall of Justice Forums I'm 43 and have been a dedicated DC Comics fan since 1987 I actually started being a fan of the DC comics characters far earlier than that but I didn't start actively collecting/reading the comics until just after the Death of Jason Todd. Some things to know about me: I am a dedicated fan of the following The Steel Age Superman this is Superman as he first appeared in John Byrnes Man of Steel miniseries and the Superman books that followed from that from 1987 to about 2003. (For me, the basic underlying principal of this era and the depiction of Clark Kent/Superman is as stated by Dean Cain in the Lois and Clark TV Series "Superman is what I can do. Clark is who I am." The Pre-Flashpoint Flash family tree  Now I have nothing against Barry Allen I'm glad they brought him back and I loved the original TV Series with John Wesley Shipp and am very excited for the upcoming series with Grant Gustin as Barry but! Having said that Wally West (More specifically, Pre-Flashpoint white skin red hair Wally West is my Flash!) he's the one I've read since I first got serious and he's the one that I'm personally enjoyed. I write a blog every month called Wally West Appreciation Day that I post both in the Hall of Justice as well as the Fastest Forum alive. (http://thefastestforumalive.proboards.com) I never bash Barry or NuWally but every month on the Wednesday a new Flash comic is released I add a post centering around Wally's Pre-Flashpoint (and more often than not Pre-Geoff Johns) career as both Flash and Kid Flash. I also outlined some pretty solid ways to re-introduce a New52ized Wally West to the current DCU without changing him so drastically as the current powers that be have done. (I'm currently working on ideas to time-alter the current NuWally into Wally as he was (or nearabouts) The Non-Batmanized origins of the various DC Superheroes. Too many of DC Heroes have become victims of the tragic origin wave. It used to be that heroes like Flash, Aquaman, Superman Wonder Woman and others used their powers to help mankind because they were good-hearted people who believed in doing what was right for the simple reason that it was the right thing to do. Nowadays so many of them seem like they were only motivated to become the characters they were because they were victims of tragic occupancies. The Pre-Flashpoint Justice League origin. More specifically the founding members including Martian Manhunter and excluding Cyborg. Now I respect Cyborg and I have no problem with him being in the Justice League but he was never a founding Member Aquaman Green Lantern Flash Superman Batman Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter were the original founding members (Black Canary was substituted when the post Crisis Wonder Woman was revamped and her new origin placed her debut in public as having occurred after the dissolution of the Justice League's Detroit Era) There are other pet peeves I have but those are the ones that spring to mind first and foremost. I'm sure as time goes on you guys will all get a feel for me and my tastes. I look forward to meeting everyone as we go. |
